IN THE BELLY

Our last lunar cycle, "In the Physical" drew us into the emotional-physical realm of life. The theme of this lunar cycle is found in the stars composing the last degree of sidereal Pisces. The Sun and Moon lie directly over the belly of ole' Cetus, the techno-bureaucratic monster of collective human consciousness. The star marking the belly of the monster is Baten Kaitos (Zeta Cetus). Here lies the theme expressed in the story of Jonah and the Whale--being swallowed with need to emerge in transmuted form. Baten Kaitos lies parallel in ecliptical latitude with Katain of Pisces, the knot of emotional and psychic entanglement--lending more insight to the theme. The stars of the southern constellation Fornax (the furnace) provide the fire (digestive juices) for the transmutation while in the belly. Alignments with Baten Kaitos can indicate being lost or engaged in an area of human life with need to emerge in transmuted form. The value--if we are willing to come out of the whale transformed--is to be able to participate from the intimate wisdom of having been there--knowing our way around the tumultuous human world, conscious all of its foul influences and psychic-emotional diversions.

Curiously, this is also the exalted location in the sidereal zodiak for Venus--bringing emphasis to art, beauty and the heart (also the thymus and immune system), although the Venus exaltation is related more to the star Revati of Pisces--literally riches, money, financial resources--which lies just before Baten. But, it is in the belly where we find the riches of human world.

Quasar 3C57, also of Cetus, conjoins Baten Kaitos. The best phrase to describe a quasar is "foreign reality." Our galaxy resides, with about 32 other galaxies in a cluster of galaxies called our "local-cluster." Our local cluster resides, along with other galaxy clusters, in our "super-cluster." These other clusters are foreign realties but they lie under the same embracing spiritual dominion (like different countries on Earth). Clusters outside of our super-cluster are entirely alien in the utmost sense of the word and function under an entirely different evolutionary premise. Being so different, they can express as forces totally in contradiction to our current reality. Quasars can be signatures for such distant clusters.

Being in the belly of Cetus is like being in a foreign reality--one not natural to our true soul essence or purpose--a place where the rules that we are accustom to do not apply. It is important to realize that the dark sojourn at hand is temporary and is not intended as a permanent destination or dwelling place. More importantly, we must transform to move on or we will be completely digested in the mire.

The principle star composing this lunar theme is Acamar of Eridanus, the River of Life. Acamar is the dam along the river and indicates that emergence from the belly requires a breakthrough that will lead us from the foul digestive juices of Cetus into faster moving waters. Be not deceived, there are a few switchbacks ahead! The experiences occurring now can fool us into thinking the forging we have just gone through in the belly, and the emergence from it, marks the end of the journey when in fact it is but the door merely opening to be worthy to begin the real work. Alignments here can also manifest as denial to do the physical clearing required to purge the psychic-emotional grunge that had been taken on through our earlier journey--and can be associated to intestinal disorders of a foul kind. Spring is great time for a juice-cleanse!

The intensity of life will continue to increase into the following lunar cycle and through late May as we move into the grand finale of the Saturn-Pluto-Jupiter aspect that began last September. The lunar cycle beginning on the June 10 solar eclipse will mark a fresh start from all that we have gone through over this last several month period--keep breathing in the mean time and change--Saturn-Pluto demands it.
