The Seal of Saturn

The moon conjoins Saturn about two and one half hours just before the New Moon. Although this is a part of the last lunar cycle, I mention it here because this formally ends the last several months of Saturn-Pluto intensity and it seals the changes we have made within ourselves over that period. The "surrender" occurring just before the New Moon is to this lord of karma, who, along with Pluto, has forced us to confront that which we needed to make right within ourselves so we may fulfill our destinies.

The New Moon Theme

Our New Moon Eclipse, lying in late sidereal Taurus, conjoins Bellatrix of Orion. Bellatrix is the Female Amazon Warrior, the conqueror, star of the Amazon. Bellatrix holds excellent capacities in "strategic planning" and is fortuitous in administrative accomplishment in civil, political and military office. Bellatrix is especially favorable for women and brings a loquacious quality. This star announces the rising of the more brilliant star Rigel, the left foot of Orion (although a bit earlier in the zodiak). Rigel is of "enterprising entrepreneurialship." Orions in general are known for their architectural capacity. Prominent alignments with Rigel / Bellatrix bring the capacity to embody, direct and execute large, extravagant and grandiose projects. This Lunar Cycle is opportunistic to plan and construct anew that which supports us (with the emphasis on family) through our evolutionary transition. Keep in mind this new building phase occurs after all of the clearing that has occurred in the last several months so it is of a refined and matured quality entirely different to our previous experience. This cycle can also have individuals coming together as families to co-create their life experience in a new way.

Our New Moon also conjoins the Flaming Star Nebula C405 of Aurigae the Charioteer, which lies north of Taurus and Orion, and with the star Haedus, Zeta Aurigae, the kids. Capella, Messenger of Light, is the primary star of this constellation, which also has influence here. In classical astrology, Capella is said to bestow erudition, scholarship, and intellectual ambition. Capella is the "Akkadian Dil-gan I-ku, 'the Messenger of Light,' also the 'Star of Marduk'." Capella holds a beacon of light for those emissaries on Earth to maintain awareness of their soul directive and purpose while in the Taurian trenches on Earth.

Further north lies the Camel, revealing the supportive nature of this zodiakal band during the arduous and plodding process. Helper to desert dwellers, the camel is a strong, hard working, intelligent animal that is able to endure long periods before becoming distressed. Also contributing to our theme is Nihal, Beta Leporis, the hare, which lies in the southern sky under Orion. Leporis, our Rabbit, is totem of endless and unbounded "creativity." The desert Arabs saw this constellation as the chair or throne of Orion, and yet others suggested the boat of Osiris--all implying the need for creating housing and supportive structure along our Earthian sojourn.

This lunar cycle is one of planning and building, evolving new infrastructures in our lives that support the true nourishment families need and want. Although this lunar month is not as dramatic as the past several, it is one of methodically reconstructing our lives in a new way based on all that had surfaced and had been cleared throughout the last several-month Saturn-Pluto opposition.

Let us not assume this cycle is one of all light and love, for we are also in the territory of "fighting antiquated religious wars"--for those who must still (after all that has been cleared during the Saturn-Pluto opposition) relentlessly contend belief structures and hold onto their petty resentments and judgments. Orion is also the "Impious Wanderer." The Orions are known for going off on their own crusades with disregard for divine directive. The evolutionary currents active are supporting us to co-participate in an entirely new octave of humanitarianism and mutual equality, but there are those who just must continue to war.

Relationships of the Expanded Heart

Early on in the lunar cycle, just before the Crescent Moon, as the Moon fortuitously aligns with Jupiter on June 12), Juno, asteroid of covenant relationships, passes the point in the ecliptic (aligned with the Heart of the Lion) where it first went retrograde back on Dec 25, 2001. This formally completes the Juno retrograde cycle and marks the time for relationships to go forth from the growth that has occurred since--to participate in a new level of mutual respect and integrity.

The sunset of June 13 produces our first sliver of a moon just above Venus--don’t miss it. When we see the crescent moon just after sunset we can realize the opportunity the lunar cycle offers. Here again we find the statement: the opportunity is found in the Heart. This is the first lunar activation of Venus and Jupiter since their conjunction in the last lunar cycle (presented in the May 10, 2002 Lunar Planner) bringing Expanded Heart into full bloom in this lunar cycle.

On June 15 the Sun moves into sidereal Gemini and the Moon conjoins Juno emphasizing "partnerships in activity" as we begin to engage our creative process and expand upon the lunar theme.

Can't Hide On One Side

The asteroid Pallas begins its retrograde period on June 13. Pallas has been conjoined Uranus for the last few weeks. (Uranus began its retrograde cycle a few days ago in the previous lunar month.) This extended conjunction occurs just as Juno goes forth commencing relationships anew.

Uranus supports us to radically sever from the conformity of the past, and brings its capacity to active higher neurological resonances into our second chakras of interpersonal relations (liver / spleen balance)--into all that is Pallas related. This process will continue through Jan 5, 2003 when Pallas and Uranus conjoin for their final trigger.

This Uranus Retrograde Cycle (the first in sidereal Aquarius) supports humanity to radically shift from covert self-interest to humanitarian concern.

Stimulus to Action

We leave the inspirational quarter of the lunar cycle and enter the action quarter of the lunar cycle on the First Quarter Moon of June 17. Remember it is natural for fears to surface during the "external stimulus" that occurs just prior to the First Quarter Moon--fears to be stepped through into the action at hand.

The Solstice

Only now in Earth's ~25,000 year precessional cycle does the solstice sun lie exactly upon the galactic axis of the Holy Cross. This axis is created by the intersection of the galactic plane and the ecliptic plane, which are tilled with respect to each other (For details see the Holy Cross web page.) There are two points in the ecliptic marking this axis: The Gate of God" at 5° sidereal Sagittarius, and the "Gate of Man" at 5° sidereal Gemini. Our Solstice Sun of June 21 lies exactly upon the Gate of Man. Earth's precessional cycle governs the "Evolutionary Cycle of the Soul." And only now in this Great Cycle is the portal of the Holy Cross open for the resurrection of the soul, allowing us to return to our divine (undivided) awareness as timeless illumined souls.

Full Moon Realization

The Full Moon lunar eclipse occurs in sidereal Sagittarius on June 24, just as it is about to conjoin retrograde Chiron--the healing occurs. The lunar eclipse following the solar eclipse in any lunar cycle provides the opportunity for a release in the emotional body, so we may step forth into the new octave the Lunar Cycle is offering. This Full Moon Eclipse conjoins the Solar Apex.

The Solar Apex, entering the ecliptic in early sidereal Sagittarius, lies north in heavens, in the outstretched hand of Hercules, the godman. Hercules stands upside-down in the heavens with feet in the realm of the Gods (in the polar precessional circle) and with his work of service in the realm of incarnate souls. The Solar Apex marks the unique direction in our galaxy that our sun moves (toward the area of the Vega star system).

Alignments with the Solar Apex indicate our soul path and the sequence of our actions to be totally unique to ourselves, a path which others cannot see, relate to, or even understand. This is why we must never hold judgment of another or of ourselves. It indicates our pursuit is only ours to behold. The Solar Apex asks us to walk our path in the moment-to-moment present, as the steps themselves coalesce from spirit substance in their own divine way.

Solar Apex alignments ask us to not turn away from our course, but to face our very unique goals head-on, to take aim, and to undauntingly go forth in pursuit of our dreams. This alignment asks us to recognize that our ideals and missions require utmost confidence and trust in self--found only in the heart.

The Solar Apex closely conjoins the "Gate of God" of Holy Cross (the crossing of the galactic equator and the ecliptic) and Al Nasl, the tip of the Zen Archer's arrow, which points toward The Heart Center of our Galaxy--Galactic City of Light. The Sagittarian archer is focused without hesitancy or doubt in his unique path and upon his majestic galactic goal--the fulfillment of the soul.

The influence of northern Hercules, allows the archer to rise to the occasion against all odds. The Solar Apex asks us to reach beyond what we even believe is possible, to go for the gold, and to claim what is rightfully our true divine heritage, our galactic reinstatement as illumined beings. Through the Solar Apex portal lies a gift, a place of beauty, a place of miracles in Mansion Universes of Light and Love. It is a place where we must shed our Earthian form held in place only by fear and take our Solar Body of Light to enter this glorious heavenly gate. We must leave behind the duality's conflict created by the judgement of white verses black, of right verses wrong, and walk beyond all of life's lessons and limitations encrusted from lifetimes past. Here the Galactic Flowing waters part to reveal our narrow but unique path Home. Here we break the bounds within and without, as here the unbounded majesty of the Highest of Highs, of the Ancient of Days resides--it is all this that relentlessly drives us on this Solstice Full Moon. Here lies the true rainbow-bridge of light, which magically is lit and seen beneath our feet--but only when we take the step.

What is Truly Nourishing ?

Our Last Quarter Moon of July 2 conjoins Ceres--asteroid of nurturing, of how we nurture and how we are nurtured, asteroid of the womb. To learn of Ceres see the Asteroids. Simply, our Last Quarter Moon reveals our inner need to initiate change: Let us not turn our heads from that which requires nourishing, for that is what is nourishing. Our Last Quarter Moon asks us to honor the message of this goddess Ceres so we may free our selves from the entrapment of the human condition and fulfill our divine destinies.
