Beautiful Fireworks
or
Catastrophic Explosions

This lunar cycle embodies the stellar qualities of Mizar of Ursa Major. Mizar expresses raw fiery energy that must manifest in one way or another. This energy must have a creative outlet. Mizar brings attention to how we use our creative energies and to our creative and destructive tendencies. Mizar asks us to look at our fear to participate and co-create due to the potential of our creative energy erupting in destruction. Mizar (and its companion star Alcor, the Little Horseman) expresses one of the seven rays of Ursa Major teaching us the nature of such volatile forces. Certain alignments with Mizar are known to result in catastrophic fires or massacres, but Mizar can also express quite artistically. Gunpowder can be used to create beautiful fireworks or devastating explosions. Either way, the expression of Mizar is always noticed in a grand way, in character with showy and dramatic Leo.

The force and power behind the show that inspires this fiery expression comes from the conjoining seyfert galaxy NGC 4151 in Canes Venatici, the barking dogs. Seyfert galaxies, astrologically speaking, are intense fireballs of energy that must express. Hence, this force can violently explode if it is not channeled in creative elegance.

The New Moon Sun and Moon are also in an approaching square (270°) to Pluto. This creates an inner need to change regarding destructive use of power. The answer to this creative challenge is found through the goddess Ceres (aspecting the Sun, Moon, and Pluto).

The Psychophysiology of Ceres

Ceres, the largest of the four primary asteroids, brings awareness to how we nurture and to that which is truly nurturing to us. Ceres embodies mothering and agricultural qualities and brings attention to our relation with the Earth and the land. Ceres reveals our ability to be in universal flow--the unification of giving and receiving as one flow of energy through ourselves. Ceres asks for acknowledgment of our inner needs, to have self love and self worth. Ceres is of concern and caring for others as well as for the Earth. Ceres is associated with the womb and stomach.

Potential Ceres issues are: fear of abundance, lack and material struggle; low self esteem; unworthiness; abandonment / rejection issues expressing as attachment to people and things, manipulation of loved ones, over-attachment to siblings, possessiveness, and control of siblings or of one's creations; mother-child complexes; barrenness.

Ceres lies in the midst of its retrograde cycle just south of the ecliptic in the constellation of Cetus the Sea Monster, the fear instilling techno-bureaucratic monster of collective human consciousness, which lies in the tormenting emotional waters of sidereal Pisces. This Ceres retrograde cycle provides opportunity to address and clear the fears and other psychic-emotional webs that keep us holding away the very things we truly desire.

The Healing Completes

While our New Moon theme commences, Chiron completes its retrograde period (on Sept 7) just above the Gate of God of the Holy Cross in sidereal Sagittarius. This marks the completion of a healing period we had been in since April. Chiron is kissed by the beautiful Goddess Hebe. Perhaps even a toast is appropriate. In Greek myth, Hebe governed the Tree of Life on Mount Olympus and was cup-bearer to the gods, serving the ambrosia of immortality. Once completing his mortal life, Hercules ascended to Mount Olympus, and married the goddess.

Hebe and Chiron lie 0° 16' 33" from each other during the exact Chiron station and then come to within 6 minutes of a degree to each other.

Chiron, a visitor to our solar system, makes available new neurological circuitry and experiential possibilities heretofore unavailable. To learn more about the qualities of Chiron see: The asteroids-Chiron.

Covenant Relationships

The first lunar conjunction of the month occurs with the Juno, the asteroid of "covenant relationships." This lunar cycle will also complete with moon conjoining Juno making our significant relationships the highlight of this lunar cycle. Juno currently conjoins the original Christ Point of the Holy Cross in sidereal Virgo bringing a strong emphasis to the purity and sanctity of relationships, both of an intimate personal nature and those of a diplomatic nature between countries. Just before the First Crescent Moon of Sept 10, the Moon conjoins Mercury and Venus--bringing emphasis to partnerships, communication, and the Heart. From this context, the New Moon theme unfolds.

Be sure to see Venus and the Crescent Moon in the western sky just as the Sun sets on the eve of Sept 9 and realize that which is truly nurturing.

Impetus to Action

Pluto provides the impetus to move into the action quarter of the lunar cycle on the First Quarter Moon (Sept 12-13). Pluto works for the "integrity of the soul" and will destruct anything held at a personality level that keeps us from manifesting the destinies of our souls. An opening is made.

Mercury Retrograde

Mercury stations on Sept 14 to begin its retrograde period, which will last through the rest of this lunar cycle. Mercury will complete its retrograde period just after the following New Moon of Oct 6. We will go forward in a new Mercurial octave on Oct 21 (just after the next Full Moon).

Aug 25 ---------------- Mercury Retrograde Cycle --------------- Oct 21
Sept 14 ---- Mercury Retrograde Period ----- Oct 6

Retrograde cycles provide opportunities to redefine and evolve the areas of our selves that the retrograding planet or asteroid embodies.

The Psychophysiology of Mercury

The astrophysical resonances of Mercury embody these aspects of our psycho-physiology (our entwined mental, emotional and physical facets of self): logistical thinking, speech and communication, and all neurological processes. Mercury's corresponding bi-energy centre is the Throat / Thyroid (seat of suppressed anger)—with a neurological tie-in to the Liver (ability to act) which expresses through the right knee and to the calf muscles.

Evolved Mercurial qualities express as creative, coherent and intelligent expression. This is our will to live and speak our Truth in confidence, clarity and appropriateness. Mercury provides ability for mental focus, concentration, even telepathy and telekinesis. Mercury's resonance defines learning and reasoning abilities, language skills, and some motor skills associated with coordination and dexterity.

Aberrant Mercury holds suppressed anger and expresses as covert hostility—spite and vengefulness. Suppressed anger blocks effective communication and speech, and distorts what we hear. Appropriateness is the mental–emtional pattern held in musculature in the back of the neck. Aches in the back of the neck can indicate we are not living our Truth—inappropriately living a lie. Suppressed anger can create an inability to concentrate, learn, grow and change. It creates confusion within self to make choices that are not in the highest interest of our true soul destiny and greatest happiness.
Obesity and arthritis generally are thyroid related and are driven from suppressed anger. When acute, this can express as overt hostility, incessant mentalization of life (Excessive Mercurialism), endless talking and thinking; and forcing one’s beliefs onto others in righteousness. (Hypo- and Hyper-thyroidism).

The Pollinating Phase

By the Gibbous Moon of Sept 17, as the Pollinating Phase of the lunar cycle begins, which runs through the Full Moon of Sept 21, a creative challenge manifests between the feminine and masculine. The opportunity is to co-create our experience from beyond the judgments of this side verses that, beyond the judgments of how creative power had been used in the past. The solution is found in an opportunity to clarify the nature of our communications between the feminine and masculine. (This opportunity is due to additional aspects occurring over these few days between the Moon, Pallas, Mars, and Retrograde Mercury.)

Pallas, in this mix, asks us to look at how we spitefully withdraw and push away the very thing we desire due to our judgments of the all to human world. Pallas asks us to creatively co-participate from the maturity gained only through experience of having been on both sides of the fence at one time or another. Retrograde Pallas (in the overlap area of sidereal Capricorn and Aquarius) has been asking us to learn too apply our creative wisdom in the interest of all parties involved, rather than from righteous attitudes that exclude others and validate only self.

The Full Moon & The Equinox

Our Full Moon eve occurs on Sept 20 in a T-square with Saturn the later residing in sidereal Gemini on the "Gate of Man" bringing attention to our responsibility to each other.

The September equinox is a time of initiating change in the annual solar cycle. This equinox occurs just after the Full Moon and just after the Moon conjoins the goddess Ceres on Sept 22. "Realization of the Theme" occurs in regard to how are we using our life force, our body fluids, the elixir of life to support what is truly nourishing in our lives. To live from the truth and desire of our souls' divine guidance provides a release from psychic-emotional tension that had been holding us from stepping forth into our intended fulfillment.

Soul Guidance in Covenant Relationships

The Mercury retrograde cycle conjoins the asteroid Juno in sidereal Virgo creating a cycle of growth with Juno from Aug 22 through Oct 24. The second trigger, occurring in this lunar cycle, on Sept 24, marks the turning in the Mercury-Juno cycle. This trigger provides opportunity to redefine our relationships by clarifying how we communicate so we may co-create our lives from a new level of our inner truth and manifest our highest ideals in our relationships.

Merc-Juno #1 --- Merc (R)-Juno #2 --- Merc-Juno #3
Aug 22 --- Sept 24 --- Oct 24

The Psychophysiology of Juno

Juno is the asteroid of covenant relationships, soul colleagues, and true lovers. In the astrological chart, Juno indicates the nature of the issues and opportunities in significant relations of all sorts: those that are of a personal nature to those of political leaders and nations of the world. Mature Juno is diplomatic, tactful, cooperative, and mutually trusting. Mature Juno expresses with a sense of equality within self that provides the ability to draw true partners and those of equality into one's life. There is an acceptance of another's truth or opinion without need to challenge or debate. There is an ability to honor and support others in their own choices and decisions. Mature Juno expresses self-confidence in humbleness and without defense.

Potential issues are: Superiority / inferiority complexes - competitiveness, defensiveness, lack of self confidence, arrogance and judgment of others; unconscious manipulation of others - power struggles seeking contention; betrayal, bitterness, spitefulness and standoffs; jealousy and possessiveness; one-up-man-ship--validating self by invalidating others (or reverse); dictating behavior--telling others what they should or should not do--minding others' business instead of one's own. A form of denial of Juno issues within self can express as needing to fix others or have them change or leave, instead of working on the issues within that surface while in partnership. Mature Juno expresses in mutual support and unconditional love to allow each other to grow and change through whatever issues surface. Other Juno issues are meddling; fear of abandonment, rejection or betrayal; inability to draw or participate with equals and true colleagues; hiding behind teacher-student relationship (on either side); partners drawn are those providing intense lessons only for both parties, rather than providing true, mutually supportive growth in equality and participation together in life purpose.

Juno's placement in the astrological chart is one of several points that determine the types of significant relations drawn into our lives. Juno specifically is involved with drawing our true soul-mates or twin-hearts.

The Retrograde Mercury-Juno conjunction of Sept 24 conjoins several key stars and deep space objects in sidereal Virgo. They are Phi Velorum and the Pulsar P 0950 (both of which reside exactly on the Galactic Equator in the Sail (Velorum) of the Argo. These conjoin Quasar 3C273, the star themes of Zaniah of Virgo (right use of will), Turais of the Argo (the past-future ramifications of our present use of will). Also conjoining are The Antennae (of the Ark) (Spiral Galaxy NGC 4039 in Corvus the Raven), and Diadem, Alpha Coma Berenices, the Crown or Halo of the Virgin. In addition, mid-sidereal Virgo marks the exalted location in the zodiak for Mercury making possible an extraordinary level of neurological communication--a refined soul level communion.

In short, the key to redefining our covenant relationships is to set personality aside and to have implicit trust in, and to communicate and participate from, our true soul guidance. This is right use of will. Due to a spacetime warp provided by the quasar, actions taken now extend into the past-future timestream of our souls making possible a recoding of the past and a new future path. The long-term ramifications of this event deem that communication and participation from soul guidance is essential to realize and manifest the destined truth in our covenant relationships. A birthing is at hand on the Disseminating Moon of Sept 24-25.

How it Works

Quasar 3C273 creates the translation of spiritual information and our souls' guiding messages into imagery and phenomena in the natural world. Perception of this divine communication requires that personality mind is out of the way and we are participating with a sensitive perceptual attentiveness to the transcendent intelligence expressing in nature. Synchronisities are of special significance. The synchronisities and signs occurring in the natural world are messages from the angels that guide us.

This quasar creates a perceptual time-warp that embraces more of spacetime than the current moment. It stretches perception to embrace past-future time. 3C273 brings attention to the importance for the right use of will in the present based from the extended perceptual vision of our souls and the messages our souls provide. The application of the right use of will (Zaniah) is not possible without a clear inner attention to perceive and to then trust in what is envisioned or sensed. This quasar asks for implicit trust to act upon the synchronisities and messages in nature.

Phi Velorum and Pulsar P-0950 (both of which reside exactly on the galactic equator in the Sail (Velorum) of the Argo attune and integrate the energy currents occurring in the spiritual realm (and crown chakra) with the very root / earth primordial response. In addition, P-0950 reminds us to live our soul truth and to follow these high (transcendent) spiritual currents. This in turn requires using our fundamental creative forces, power, and sexuality from this spiritual truth. Pulsars, in general are beacons, reminders, for the soul.

Because P 0950 lies on the galactic equator, its resonance attunes us to the greater evolutionary currents upon which our souls participate, currents that extend beyond the current incarnation and that guide a soul's' greater evolutionary mission. This attunement works through the Antennae of the Ark– the spiral galaxy NGC 4039 of Corvus (the messenger raven), which makes possible direct communication with our genetic coding in the here and now.

The Last Quarter Moon - Time for Change

Our inner need to initiate change in this lunar cycle occurs on Sept 28-29 and is inspired by sobering Saturn. The essential need to get our relations in tune with our soul's true desire precedes greater events yet to come.

Covenant Realations !

The last alignment of the lunar cycle occurs on the eve of Oct 5 (Early AM Oct 6) just before the New Moon with Juno, asteroid of covenant relationships--just as the cycle began. This brings our attention back to those special relationships and seals the growth we have gained in this cycle with a kiss. Surrender and play through the wee hours, the next lunar cycle theme will emerge in the morning light.
