The Lunar Planner

In the waters of sidereal Pisces, our New Moon brings attention to the strong psychic-emotional currents creating the human condition. This lunar cycle asks us to face our all too frail humanness, to not be in denial of it. It asks us to recognize how the psychic-emotional currents not only entrap us from the beauty, wellbeing, freedom, and fulfillment we all seek, but how they also serve us to gain the strength, awareness, and readiness to claim it.

I refer my readers to a previous writing of story of Andromeda, Perseus and the Royal Family (quoted below), as all of the facets of consciousness revealed in this story are active now--particularly that of entrapped Andromeda who is about to be devoured by Cetus, the techno-bureaucratic monster of collective human consciousness. This mythical story articulates the human struggle and initiatory process of attaining our Freedom and Divine Destiny.

Beautiful Andromeda is chained to rocks by the sea about to be devoured by Cetus the Sea Monster, the Kraken. Her mother, Queen Cassiopeia, had boasted of her daughter's beauty to be greater than the Nereids, the nymphs of the sea. Upon hearing such arrogance, the gods became angry, and to punish Cassiopeia, they sentence princess Andromeda to her death. King Cepheus, preoccupied with more important evolutionary matters, and disgusted with the perpetual pettiness of the whole affair, turns his head in apparent denial. The king knows there is far more complexity to the issue at hand--including the issues and required growth of all involved.

Perseus, Andromeda's radiant and gallant Twin Flame, in the initiatory process of his own self mastery, had just slain Medusa, having been advised this to be the only way possible to gain the hand of his beloved. From the blood of Medusa sprang the Magical Flying Horse, Pegasus. Perseus, claiming the Magical Pegasus as his ally, sets his sight on Triangulum, the Holy Trinity, and flies above the Kraken. As the monster takes sight of the head of Medusa, the Kraken turns to stone and shatters into the sea. Perseus frees Andromeda. Triumphant, Perseus and Andromeda claim their true soul destiny, uniting forever in their Divine Love.

Andromeda, the essence of Divine Love, represents the exquisite beauty destined for human unfoldment, but which is held in bondage by the very judgment of that humanness. Andromeda has a destiny on Earth with her true soul partner Perseus, but finds herself desperately entrapped in both the emotional genetic confusions of her incarnate family and in the psychic manipulations of outside meddling forces due to her own naivete about Earthian ways.

Cassiopeia is queen of arrogance, and Cepheus, king of denial--key facets of our undoing that manifest in duality's frustrating paradox. Cassiopeia can also have a benevolent hand however, and Cepheus the ability to offer aid before all is lost--their more evolved aspects.

Perseus represents the initiatory process itself--the way, the challenges to overcome and milestones to achieve in the human world to evolve into our destined unity.

Cetus the Sea Monster is the techno-bureaucratic monster of collective human consciousness; the human genetic condition spiraled downward into a raging, fear instilling, consuming beast--diverting us from our evolutionary path to Light.

Perseus first slays Medusa, the Gorgon with seven snakes for hair. Medusa is the embodiment of fear, as it is fear that turns one to stone, freezing one in their tracks. Conquering Medusa is Perseus confronting and slaying his own fear, claiming his personal power.

Perseus then claims the magical Pegasus, and learns to fly upon this magical horse. Pegasus represents the evolved genetic vehicle, the mental emotional and physical body purified and refined to become able to rise above human genetic patterns of weaknesses. Pegasus brings Perseus the ability to fly over the Kraken. Pegasus represents grounding Soul Essence fully into the physical body--activating one's body of light / soul awareness. Only then does one's resonance transcend the fear based mortal world. Only then can one rise above the psychic emotional manipulations and the diversions of the mortal world.

For Perseus to fly over the Kraken and to free Andromeda, he not only completes his initiatory rite, refines his being, and integrates his Soul Essence, he also sets his vision on Triangulum, the Holy Trinity. Triangulum's message is "let thine eye become single"--seeing the oneness through duality; surrendering all judgment of opposing forces. It is non-judgment that keeps Perseus from falling into the psycho-emotional entrapment of the Kraken, from being consumed in the fear-based Human drama. Demonstrating his self-mastery, Perseus frees Andromeda and they unite forever in their Divine Love.

This divinely intended union is one occurring on the inner and is one expressing in the outer world as well. On the inner, this is the unification of the conflicts of duality found within our selves, the integration of the masculine and feminine principles within our selves. In its highest sense, this is the illumination of the double helix of the Human DNA, the Urn of the Soul, into one radiant spiral of light. This inner illumination allows us to shift from living in the bio-logical mode of mentally comparing opposites (judgment), to unified awareness of wholeness (Love), where we realize Truth beyond the apparent paradoxes of life. This awareness creates an inner peace and magnificence that radiates outward into our experiential world as true compassion.

In the outer world, this union expresses as divinely intended soul partnerships--radiant beings unified in Divine Light and Love--relationships of beauty, harmony, and fulfillment. From here, a creative journey beyond all human comprehension awaits--a journey for unified souls through galaxies of light, and beyond.

Our New Moon Stars

The primary star alignments setting the theme of this lunar cycle are, Alderamin, Alpha Cepheus; Alpheratz, Alpha Andromeda; the energies of Quasar 3C9 of Pegasus (with Algenib, the wing of Pegasus), and the Irregular Galaxy C1613 of Cetus, which conjoines Alpheratz.

Submission or Action

Alderamin embodies the aspect of the king turning his head the other way. Alderamin express as areas of denial, avoidance, what we do not want to look at. Alderamin can express as denial of the manipulative power plays causing our or other people's entrapment, and the unwillingness to do anything about them. Here we can live in submission to manipulative forces rather than to stand up for self and for those unjustly punished, even when it is our responsibility to do so.

On the Wing of Pegasus

Quasars are believed to be the signatures of distant galactic clusters. Because these multi-spectral emanations are from entirely alien realities outside of our reality of consciousness, their effects can express under an entirely different evolutionary premise. They radiate an intense awareness of what often time does not seem to fit into our current experience. Quasars tend to draw us into an intense introspective process, which can then reverse into a tremendous impetus of mysterious behavior. Quasars ask us to be open to non-conforming possibilities not common to our reality, possibilities otherwise not available.

Quasar 3C9 brings impulses, images, or experiences into our lives to help lift our selves above the Earthian dramatics and out of its psycho-emotional entrapment, to help us attain our greater soul purpose and evolutionary freedom. The consequence of ignoring these experiences is to be left caught in the repercussions of the world of human affairs, entrenched in psychic and emotional battle.

In the Belly

The Irregular Galaxy of Cetus reveals that naiveté of psycho-emotional forces is due to toxic or unrefined physical conditions that lead us into confused and entrapping physical situations.

The Entrapped Human Condition

Alpheratz is one of four stars of the Great Square of Pegasus and is part of Andromeda and Pegasus both. As Alpha Andromeda it is the "head of the princess in chains." By its alternative name Sirrah, it is "Delta Pegasus" referring to the horse's navel (the umbilical tie between the two themes).

The stars of the Great Square of Pegasus, and the relationship of Andromeda and Pegasus, reveal the means to free our selves from the lower psycho-emotional world, to claim our mastery while incarnate upon the stage of material dramatics. This is to claim our bodies of light, our illumined awareness. Alpheratz, Algenib, the wing of Pegasus, and Caph of Cassiopeia, the beneficent, generous, and guiding hand of the queen, are referred to as the three guides (because of their alignment at one time marking Earth's prime meridian). These three stars provide another cosmic key for us in our quest for true freedom. Algenib, a very fortuitous star brings the message of the need to refine all aspects of our bodies and lives so we can lift ourselves above the entrapping psychic-emotional drama and claim our divine destiny.

Alpheratz is unadulterated, innocent, naive, uncorrupted by evil, wrong-doing or malice; and holds a position of extraordinary honor and advantage--this star often portending honor and riches--but this requires removal of the psychic webs of entanglement in order to fulfill our greater soul destinies. Alpheratz requires we have faith that there are those who are destined to be by our sides to support our freedom from the entanglements that we find ourselves in.

Alignments with Alpheratz can indicate being caught in the power plays unconsciously created by the arrogance and denials of others. Alpheratz can indicate our vulnerability to the emotional and psychic delusions of others, especially those in our genealogical line or karmic past--often manifesting as elaborate emotional dramatics. Alpheratz asks us to get un-entangled from the human psycho-emotional drama, or accept a sentence of bondage not rightfully ours.

Although the stage setting in which Andromeda is trapped seems complex, two primary things must occur for her freedom. One is an inner metamorphosis, a psycho-emotional maturing into the readiness to receive, the other is the outside aid from her destined partner, who also had to mature through his own initiatory rite to even arrive in the nick-of-time (the Perseus theme). The two go hand in hand. The change within becomes possible only in the chains of the human struggle. Here lies the inner process of breaking free from genetic human mold that we had birthed into--the cultural dogmatic pattering of incarnate life. Forceful attempts to break free only tighten the chain. Only Andromeda's inner readiness can allow her to receive the aid from her true soul partner and to meet the intended destiny that waits. Andromeda represents the highest human potential in exquisite beauty, yet held in entrapment until the time is ripe. Andromeda represents the struggle for freedom from the collective and tormenting forces of the human world, to claim our true galactic birthright, our evolutionary destiny.

The issues brought to our attention in this lunar cycle are visible within our selves, within our personal relations, and in the current global drama. As always: that which occurs on the global stage is but a mirror of that which we live in our personal lives. The gift of the global drama is to own its reflection and to change ourselves--how we co-participate in our daily lives.

Movement and Expansion

Jupiter completes its retrograde period on Apr 3, just before the Crescent Moon of Apr 5. Things can begin to move again. This occurs in the center of sidereal Cancer--the Egyptian Scarabaeus--and conjoins Praesepe, M44, the beehive star cluster, also called the crib or manger; and the stars that make the ass of the crab (and dung of the beetle).

When the vernal point was passing through in the Scarab, due to Earth's precessional cycle, its placement in the Scarab was reflected both in Egyptian myth and in its offspring, Christian myth. The Vernal point is classically called the "Birthplace" of the Sun / Sol / Soul (where the sun births from the southern to north hemisphere on the equinox). It is also the point of the Christos (Soul), and the Office of the Christ, or simply, the Christ Point. It is also referred to as the Son, as the precessing North Celestial Pole is referred to as the Father or God point. (The Precessional movement of the pole governs the movement of the Birthplace.) The precessional movement of the Pole and Birthplace governs the "evolutionary cycle of the soul" collective--the timing that governs the awakening of soul consciousness on Earth.

"In the Egyptian mythos, Osiris--as Earth's North Polar Mount or Godhead--is transfigured or birthed as Horus, his son, in the realm of man at the Birthplace. Thus, Horus re-births in each new astrological age due to the movement of the NCP and vernal point."

"The same story of the Birthplace repeats in mythical picture-language throughout history. Gerald Massey shows us that the Christian Jesus, as bringer of the fish and the grapes (the birth of the vernal axis in Pisces / Virgo), is paralleled in Egyptian myth as Horus, bringer of the fish and the grapes in ancient Egypt. Jesus as the good Scarabaeus, born in a crib in the manger (occurring when the Birthplace is in Cancer, in the Egyptian Scarabaeus, governed by the Praesepe (M44) star cluster: the beehive, crib, or manger), is Horus as (Iu), the "son of a beetle."

The continual return or rebirth of the Christ is the rebirth of the vernal point in each zodiakal age in the forever recurring, eternal and spiraling, precessional cycle. It is a point that defines the very spacetiming of soul's evolution in a galactic context, one that has been conveyed repeatedly in mythical language throughout the ages. The Birthplace and the Birth of Christ clearly refers to the zodiakal placement of the vernal point of the Sun / Son in the precessional Cycle of the Holy Cross."

The astronomical forces governing our own evolutionary unfoldment had become personified in mythological languaging. (Myth is a picture language; i.e. imagery conveying an idea or concept.) The typical miss-interpretation of Egyptian mythological images, as being actual entities, rather than a picture language articulating natural astronomical forces, cycles, and facets of consciousness, had been further amalgamated into modern religious story.

"Emerging from Dynastic Egypt at the dawn of the age of Aries, we find the Egyptian mythos morphing into the Greco-Roman political-religious story of the death and resurrection of the Christ--and later of the man Jesus. Horus, now as Christ, becomes the "lamb of God" and the "shepherd leading the flock" as the vernal point moves through the sidereal sign of Aries. Aries is the Ram or Sheep, and Hamal--Aries' lucida (brightest star), which zodiakally marks mid-sidereal Aries--is the Head of the Sheep, and the Star of the Flock. The zodiakal age of Aries continued from around 1960 B.C. to 200 A.D., with the Birthplace conjoining Hamal in the middle of this age, circa 700 B.C."

"The vernal point, or Son of God, at the time of the "birth of Jesus" was of course in the sign of the Fishes (sidereal Pisces) and more significantly, it conjoined Alrisha (Kaitain) Alpha Pisces, the constellation's lucida. Alrisha (Kaitain) is the knot or net that entwines the fishes together, In astrological terms, Kaitain expresses the emotional entanglement and turmoil common to the human condition. In mythical languaging, as the Birthplace moves through the sidereal Pisces, Jesus is born in the sign of the fishes. The word Jesus means to save and it is Jesus who was illustrated to feed, provide nourishment for the multitude when they had no bread (Mana), divine awareness--when they were trapped in the tormenting Piscian emotional waters of the mortal world. Again, we find religious story mythically articulating the astronomical truth…"

Praesepe embodies the essence of the Scarab / Cancer theme: our emergence out of darkness, dogma, and delusion, and our re-awakening back to Light--much like the beetle emerges from its own dung. Jupiter moving direct at this point is quite appropriate considering our current world scene has much to do with freeing ourselves from the dogmatic belief structures (that we all hold) that create conflict and war.

Praesepe is of new beginnings, migration, shedding old skins, skeletons, and cocoons. It is of emerging out of the collective frenetic confusion of mass consciousness; finding our new path and direction; leaving behind old dwellings and the structures of consciousness they represent; and getting out of our personal or collective dogma and the darkness it creates. As the crib or manger, Praesepe articulates the protective and nurturing environment supporting the emergence process, the birth or awakening, the transmutation from darkness into light.

Alignments with Praesepe may indicate a new dwelling place is at hand or that one is in order to find. As with the migration of bees from an old hive, before identifying their new direction, there can be frenetic confusion at first, a scattered sense and lack of direction before moving toward their new home. This is temporary and is part of intuiting the feeling for the right direction, much like turning in a complete circle to identify the way that feels right. Praesepe asks us to trust in our magnetic sense, our inner compass--and to hone in on our new direction while honoring this confusion of the emergence process.

Alignments with Praesepe can bring up the fear of letting go--a fear bound in our dogmatic beliefs and those of collective consciousness. Praesepe can bring our attention to the possibility of being lost in religious dogma or in the frenetic buzz of collective mass consciousness, and the need to step out of that environment, to find a new place fitting to our new awareness.

Jupiters New Cycle

Durring its retrograde period, Jupiter began its new 399-day "synodic cycle" on Feb 2, 2003.

Retrograde periods mark the ending of a planet's "synodic cycle" and the beginning of its next one. This occurs when the Sun, Earth, and the planet align. The new synodic cycle begins in the midst of the planet's retrograde period. A planet's synodic cycle can be thought of as a planet's current theme as it expresses in our Earthian experience.

Although the alignments occurring throughout a planet's retrograde period lend insight into planet's current theme (like those occurring when a planet goes retrograde and then direct), the star alignments at the time of the new synodic cycle reveal the overall current synodic cycle theme.

Freedom from Dogma

Jupiter's 399 day synodic cycle theme, which started on Feb 2, was set by the star Acubens in sidereal Cancer, the claw of the Scarab. Acubens indicates entrapment in dogma. This can be the dogma of the times, the current political /religious belief, as well as that created by our personal belief structures, the ideas we hold about our lives and about the experiences we have in our lives. Acubens indicates a tenacious hold and stubborn resistance to release our dogmatic propensity.

Conjoining Acubens is Zeta Hydra, which lies immediately south of the Scarab. Delta through Zeta Hydra & Pulsar CP0834 create the Head of Hydra's, the Water Serpent. Zeta Hydra and surrounding stars indicate a multifarious source of destruction or undermining--hence adding to the theme of Acubens. This conjunction reveals the repetitive undermining experiences in our lives are due to our own tenacious belief structures.

Associated Quasar 3C206 of the HYDRA is one of the brightest & closest quasars. The reflections it brings serve us to be attentive to the powerful momentum of our dogmatic beliefs, as they can take many strange forms--reflected by the monstrous Hydra; our repetitive destruct patterns and experiences. This quasar tells us to not turn our backs on that momentum, to know it make take more than one attempt to overcome our dogma's hideous tenacity.

This is also the exalted location in the ecliptic for Pluto--if that is any indicator of the role of Pluto in our lives!

Also conjoining is Dubhe of the Great Bear, Ursa Major. Dubhe embodies the "willingness to fight for a Greater Vision" beyond the accepted political-religious dogmas of the human world that keep humanity in darkness and delusion; and against the controlling global forces perpetuating that dogmatic rule.

At the personal level, Dubhe asks us to fight for the greater vision that we hold for the unfoldment of our lives--for the true nourishment, fulfillment, and freedom we seek. Dubhe asks us to emerge from our own personal dogmas (belief structures) that hold us bound in lives that are less than we truly want. Dubhe asks us to relinquish the mental tapes we play that say: "but that is how it was and so that is how must continue to be." There are seasons to accept and acknowledge what is, and there are seasons to create something new. Dubhe supports us to create a new and better future rather than merely react to the past we have already created.

Dubhe is the star of the "Hor-she-shu," the worshipers of Horus--referring to the moving vernal point in the 26,000 year Cycle of the Holy Cross. Dubhe embodies the recognition that we are continually evolving and that our physical and spiritual fulfillment is our destiny to claim.

Jupiter is of higher law (not that of man) and supports movement and expansion of consciousness. Jupiter's current synodic cycle and the forward movement now from its retrograde period, from Praesepe, wonderfully supports movement of human consciousness not only from the religious boundaries that perpetuate WAR in the world, but also from our mentalized constructs that perpetuate separation and conflict in our personal lives.

The Mars Intensification

A potent cuspal Full Moon occurs on April 15/16 with the Sun and Moon creating a "T-square" with Mars. The astrological "T-square" (I call them cross-bows) must fire--this time with the force of Mars expressing.

From the Mars WEB page:

"Throughout the first half of 2003, Mars moves progressively closer to Earth. As it does, Mars appears to grow larger and brighter each night. By late August 2003, Mars will be closer to Earth than it ever has been in about 73,000 years. It will be about 191 million miles closer to Earth than it is now. It will appear more than six times larger, and it will be 85 times brighter than it appears now--brighter than Jupiter."

Mars can be seen growing in size in the south-east just before sunrise. By August, Mars will lie high in the heavens around midnight.

Mars currently crosses from sidereal Sagittarius into sidereal Capricorn--from where this crossbow fires. The first few degrees of sidereal Capricorn, where Mars will make passage over the next few weeks, reveals the dynamic of translating and applying the high visionary ideals of Sagittarius and Lyra into concretized practical application in the physical world--and the sobering realizations encountered by doing so. These first few degrees of Capricorn can also involve areas of all esoteric sciences, as well as the secret places and orders associated with those artsciences. Moving into the first decan of Capricorn, we come to the area of strategic application of such artechnologies.

Mars will make passage through the entire first decan of sidereal Capricorn in this lunar cycle. The stars here are critical to the military community, and to personality-level egoic self

A summary of the first several degrees of Capricorn: This decan can involve a diversely-intented group of individuals--those either covert and manipulative, or quite spiritually aware and integrous. Either way, all are involved in the application of an arsenal of strategic tools, technological or magikal, to either aid global ascension or control humanity. This can involve covert and secret places or retreats, but also is of covert and manipulative ways (as the character of the old business & military paradigms)--whether such ways are appropriate or not. It may involve hermitages, exclusive centres, monasteries or places involved with esoteric science and / or spiritual focuses--but all on strategic Earthgrid locations. Work is focused from a global level of vision, and may even incorporate extraterrestrial intelligence; and involve sleek, sexy, and stealthy artechnologies. Such places and work may seemingly be isolated, but really are not due to their strategic orientation in Earth's greater energy grid. These people, their work and these places are key in the greater evolutionary destiny for all souls and for the Earth herself. Some are native indigenous peoples. This can include military-scientific / extraterrestrial bases, and spiritual sanctuaries or sacred sites under the care of specific stewards. Microscopic discernment is required to see through the alluring cloaks inherent in the human / bi-sexual world; and that are worn by these individuals and laid upon their work. The question to ask: Is this truly nurturing for all involved or does it just tantalizingly appear to be so.

Considering the significance of Mars at this time and the intense war scenario in the global arena, I add the following on the primary stars contributing to the theme of early Capricorn and which are overseeing the current expression of Mars in our lives. They are:

Albireo, the beak of Cygnus, is of sexy and alluring disguises. It is of egoic, incarnate self, unaware that personality self is but the cloak of the soul. Albireo is of appearances and costumes--the facades common to the human / bi-sexual world. Seductive Albireo can lure us to forcefully attempt to aid, love, or attack from a less than soul aware perspective. This can result in covert and manipulative actions not really desired or nurturing to the other party. But the lesson of Albireo is for the other party to graduate from victim consciousness, and to be responsible for its covertly seductive role and consequent co-creation of human interaction upon the incarnate stage of life. This is the area of zodiak of learning to take responsibility for our personal experience.

Alpha Microscopium states that diagnostic magnification of detail is required to see through the facades of the human world and to see the target we truly seek. Conjoining is Gamma Sagitta. Its title, "tip of the missile of Zeus," speaks for itself.

Indus is a southern constellation recently added in the early 1600's by German astronomer Johann Bayer, of Augsberg. Bayer articulates the qualities of this constellation as a nude (native) man holding arrows in both hands, (without a bow). In Chinese astronomy, Alpha Indus is the Persian. Indus refers to the keepers of the sacred places; such beings are most often highly involved in the entire and complex theme articulated by this part of the zodiak. They are highly astute and specialized, able to fight with a variety of means. Not only can they wage battle with weapons of war, but also with ceremonial magik and prayer. The placement of this constellation here, under the first decan of sidereal Capricorn, alludes to why government installations are often found on sacred (Native Indian) land. To control key Earthgrid sites, of which native peoples are often stewards, is to control Earth's evolutionary outcome. Indus also articulates the capacity of persons who are attuned to the Earth and Heavens, particularly the primordial skills typically associated with the Native Indian, Aboriginal, or Desert Arab.

Another recent addition to the first decan of Capricorn is our modern Fox with the Goose, Vulpecula cum Ansere. Placed by Hevelius in the 1600's, it is described (by Allen) as "uncomfortably crowding, and jammed into the space between the Beak of the Swan and Sagitta the Arrow." It lies along the galactic equator. But Vulpecula perfectly and succinctly elucidates the meaning of this zodiakal band. Vulpecula articulates, in the very first couple of degrees of Capricorn, the deep appreciation of the exquisite beauty found in nature, but quickly turns, a few degrees later, into an "insidiously cunning and voraciously violent" characteristic.

Without this addition, one might considered only the more eloquent and artful play of seduction and consent by both parties, as elucidated by Albireo and the story of Zeus and Leda. But here, the taking can turn for personal desire with no concern whatsoever for the wellbeing or survival of another. In fact, a resultant death of another is implied. The real death is that of the high spiritual intent embodied in our earlier sign of Sagittarius resulting in the aberrations and confusions inherent when manifesting into the mortal world.

As a galactic constellation, Vulpecula implies this play and obliteration can occur even at soul level, which is surely the case. Vulpecula cum Ansere sums up the entire first half of sidereal Capricorn. Lying directly over the missile of Zeus, Sagitta, Vulpecula amalgamates the Albireo theme with that of Sagitta, with that of Algedi, and with that of neighboring Aquila as our war machine--all revealing the nature of the tools of business and war. Here is the interplay of people in their sexy disguises: whether cloaked in the eloquent and sleek stealth jet; particle beam laser based satellites; or merely dressed in seductive leather and lace. The Fox is indicative of the sexy, sly, cunning, covert maneuvers used to get the goose, and, as is most often the case, disguised to be something other than what it truly is.

A Time for Change

The Last Quarter Moon of April 22/23 conjoins Mars--stimulating the "Need to Change" how we express this force in our lives. At the same time, Venus and the asteroid Pallas conjoin. Mercury Retrograde

Chiron and Mercury both begin their retrogrades between the Last Quarter Moon and the Balsamic Moon, in the last quarter field of change--on April 25 and 26 respectively. Mercury's retrograde cycle conjoins the asteroid Ceres in sidereal Aries, where our next Lunar Cycle theme begins. We will explore Mercury's cycle with Ceres in the next lunar month.
