The Lunar Planner

Our New Moon lies within the thighs of the Virgin: The back of our thighs represent past support; the outside of our thighs, external support from friends, others, and from our environment; the inside of our thighs, intimate support; and the front of thighs: future support. In this few degree area of the zodiak (early sidereal Libra--the thighs of the Virgin) we have the theme of a proper environment supportive of our expression in the world and for a new birth of consciousness. The term environment as used here is inclusive of the environmental conditions of the Earth, of our personal living environments, and the environment created by the people around us. Our environment (thighs) provides the strength / support for us to stand upon.

Our New Moon also lies under the auspices of Boötes who stands over the Virgin, the protector and shepherd, he who provides a safe environment for the Virgin and for the birth, evolution, and ascension of souls. In one articulation of the Boötes / Virgin theme we have a threatening and destructive scenario that forces the twosome away in a pilgrimage to find a safe and appropriate place for a new birth (the story of the birth of Jesus). Under the Virgin's legs lies the benevolent Centaur, teacher of the right way to live, protector of, and leader to, the original cardinal virtues (embodied by the Southern Cross). Further south lies the keel of Argo Navis--the ship sailing along the galactic equator, which embodies matters related to ensuring a safe incarnational mission for the sentient soul.

The stars in this part of the zodiak--under the skirt of the Virgin (early sidereal Libra)--are of the arts and sciences regarding proper and harmonious environments, processes, and procedures for the safe birth, illumination, and ascension of souls--for the incarnate expression of the soul on Earth. This includes astronomical mapping of "Earthgrid activation sequence" (governing the illumination process of Earth and humanity), when and where special places on the Earth act as dimensional portals. This is not only about space and time, but the harmony in the design of the art and architecture of our environments.

Astronomical Earthgrid Spacetime Mapping

Evolutionary Intelligence (cosmic energy) translates into Earth's energy grid catalyzing a natural and progressive unfoldment of human consciousness through a dynamic geometry created by Earth's daily rotation in the spherical geometry of the Holy Cross. "Astronomical Earthgrid Spacetime Mapping" reveals the Earthgrid not as a static geometry of energy lines, portals, sacred sites, or places of power, but as a dynamic interactive system that awakens over time in an "Earthgrid Activation Sequence."

Earth's Energy Grid

"Earthgrid" is a term describing the concept that there is a naturally occurring geometric pattern of intersecting lines, great circles, or nesting geometries covering or permeating the Earth. The intersecting lines or geometries create primary and secondary nodes and geographic zones of harmonic significance around the Earth. Paranormal, multi-dimensional, UFO-related, and other unique experiences often occur along these lines and at their primary points of convergence.

"Sacred site" is a term sometimes given to these special places, particularly to those that stimulate an experience of altered consciousness. Magnificent architectural structures--cathedrals, temples, and ancient ruins--are often built upon these sites. Even modern-day military installations can be strategically placed upon such locations, sites often considered sacred to, or in the stewardship of, specific native cultures.

Pilgrimage

Miaplacidus, Beta Carina of the Argo is the principal star of our New Moon theme. Miaplacidus is the second most important star of the Argo--the first is Canopus, Alpha Carina (the helmsman), responsible for directing evolutionary currents of entire planetary systems. Miaplacidus embodies the artscience of astronomical Earthgrid mapping work. "Mia" is of greater universal flowing waters of Source; and "Placidus" is of grid-navigational-mapping. Miaplacidus creates a significant part of the theme of Carina, the keel of the Argo, directed by Canopus. Miaplacidus involves spacetime navigational mapping of cosmic evolutionary currents (evolutionary intelligence) that naturally occur in the greater ocean of Unified Creative Substance, the ocean of Divine Love in which we live; or more simply put, the mapping of Earth's natural, and currently accelerating, evolutionary process. Miaplacidus inspires us to ensure a harmonious environment in space and time for our greater well being and spiritual awakening.

Allen points out the name is possibly derived from Maïa-placidus, and that Higgins asserts it to be from Miyah, the plural of the Arabic Mâ, Water, but the original better described as Mi'ah. In either case the essence here is that of the navigation upon the waters, but meaning more than just the waters of the Earth, but the galactic waters of light which comprise the flowing essence from which manifestation comes. Also let us note that the Indian Sanskrit Maya is indicative of the illusory nature of the solidification of light, matter, which hides the flow of the waters of light, or the "creative power of God."

Argo Navis lies reverse in the heavens, stern to the east, bow to the west, and lies along the galactic equator. Thus, the Argo is associated with that which moves retrograde (reverse) in the heavens, the precessional Cycle of the Holy Cross, which is defined by the retrograde moving vernal axis with respect the fixed galactic axis in the ecliptic. This cycle is driven by Earth's precessing pole, which governs the evolutionary unfoldment of the incarnating soul. The Argo is responsible for greater evolutionary matters of planetary systems and ensuring proper evolutionary outcomes, this is above and beyond the outcome for the souls involved, but is inclusive of the greater planetary and solar systems themselves--concerned with repercussions in our greater surrounding cosmology.

Miaplacidus refers not only to the navigation and pilgrimage on the Earthgrid, but also to the art and sciences associated with the energy grids themselves in the context of the greater evolutionary process of the planetary system. Miaplacidus is of all Earthgrid work--navigational and experiential---relating to astronomical, intra-terrestrial, and intra-oceanic portals or sacred sites. It includes the cycles of solar system, its greater galactic geometries, and the spacetiming upon which light coalesces and interstellar spacecraft travel. The Earthgrid is not a separate isolated geometry, astronomical orientations and geometries provide the dynamic activation of the Earthgrid--making active specific places at specific times in one symbiotic process that supports the spiritual awakening of Earth and humanity. This same spacetime activation process occurs in our individual lives.

On a personal level, the Miaplacidus theme brings attention to traveling to or living at appropriate locations on the Earth at different times in our lives that support our own DNA illumination (spiritual awakening) process. Different places are active in unique ways at diferent times in our lives that suport our growth and wellbeing. Identifying the right place and the right time can be an intuitive process or one mapped at an individual level with astronomical Earthgrid mapping artsciences. This lunar cycle inspires pilgrimage to more appropriate places, or redesigning our existing environments so they are more in tune for birthing a new consciousness. This can include improving environmental conditions for entire countries or cultures to support the birth of a new consciousness, as well as creating new environments or surroundings supportive of a new expression of ourselves.

Miaplacidus and Canopus embrace the entire arc of ecliptical longitude of the Argo--with Canopus in latter sidereal Gemini (conjoining Sirius) and Miaplacidus in early sidereal Libra. They lie 107° 01' apart in ecliptical longitude, 108° being the co-quintile aspect associated with the "application" of the directive indicative of the sacred 144 (bi-quintile) and 72 (quintile) degree arc (108 is the compliment of 72; 180 - 72 =108)--aspects significant in Earthgrid work.

Time Stands Still - Saturn Retrograde

Time stands still on this New Moon as Saturn stations to begin its retrograde in the midst of the Twins (sidereal Gemini), beginning a few month process of "redefining logistics" in the daily activity and responsibilities of humankind.

The period now through Dec 31 brings Saturn's previous 378-day synodic cycle to a close. This previous cycle began on Dec 17, 2002 on the cusp of sidereal Taurus / Gemini. Saturn's previous synodic theme was defined by the stars at Saturn's location then--those of the impious wander, Orion, and at the South Horn of the Bull. This is a few degree band of the ecliptic noted for fighting antiquated religious wars, and for beating our heads against the wall with the same ole' issues.

The new Saturn cycle (beginning on Dec 31) will be defined by the stars at the center of the Twins: specifically Alhena of Gemini--marking a time of commencement and a separating of the ways, of getting off the fence of indecision and getting on with it--more to come on this topic then. However, Saturn will not return direct until March, which is when we will fully move forth with the new Saturn theme.

The current Saturn retrograde theme--completing our logistical involvements, especially those involving antiquated crusades and karmic-based wars or relations--has a strong role in this lunar cycle's theme due to its occurrence at the time of the New Moon. This is even more emphasized with the eclipse pair to come (this Full Moon and next New Moon), which supports a release of emotionally driven beliefs and motives, and then in the next lunar cycle, to take responsibility to relinquish our entrapping modes of living.

The Crescent Moon conjoins Pluto on Oct 28 creating an opening to expand upon the theme of the Lunar Cycle as it uniquely emerges in our individual lives. Pluto lies just north of Sabik, Eta Ophiuchus, which is of creating the "physical (and biological) means for our transformation or metamorphosis." Remember, Pluto works in the interest of the mission of the soul, not for personality-based desires. Pluto destructs that which is not in our higher interest thus creating the openings for our self-mastery.

External Stimulus to Action

Our First Quarter Moon of Nov 2, bringing our "external stimulus to initiate action," lies in a precarious place in mid-Capricorn just before conjoining with Neptune (which conjoins the Toucan). Here lies the influence of the "Tip of the Missile of Zeus," veiled by the Dumbbell Nebula bringing inspiration to apply our arsenal of strategic tools (whether for war or peace) in balance, as actions may also be veiled in stupidity if used with brut force alone.

The issue of TRUST arises at this location in sidereal Capricorn. Here is where there is need to participate from our greater soul awareness in the interest of all involved rather than from our personality-based illusions inherent to the incarnate stage. However, that greater awareness can be further obscured by the colorful facades and the mumbo jumbo of the loquacious ones who seek eminence on the stage of human life but who only perpetuate deception and confusion.

Our opportunity is too take action through the veils of our ideals and dreams, but also our illusions and confusions. Whether our motive is from personality-based self-important attitudes and beliefs alone or whether it considers all involved may be the only way to discern right action.

In the Belly of Human Experience

Starting on the Nov 3, surrounding the Gibbous Moon of Nov 4, and completing on Nov 5, retrograde Pallas creates a "T-Square" with Chiron and retrograde Saturn. Pallas, in the midst of its retrograde in sidereal Pisces, lies south in the heavens in the bowels of Cetus, the fear instilling techno-bureaucratic monster of collective human consciousness. I prefer to call T-Squares "Cross-bows" because they create a tension which must fire. Here Pallas is the projectile. Its energy must express in and through the belly of human experience.

Here we are asked to clear any Pallas issues we may carry--the tendency to spitefully participate, or withdraw, from righteous or foul judgments, and apply our creative intelligence from the wisdom claimed only by honoring opposite views and the duality of all experience. Only then may we emerge from our confinements in the belly of human experience and cross the newly emerging bridges into our evolutionary fulfillment.

The Eclipses

This pair of eclipses, one lunar and one solar, occurs on Nov 8-9 (this Full Moon) and on the New Moon of Nov 23. The Full Moon eclipse occurring in this lunar cycle provides yet another dynamic of clearing away antiquated mental-emotional baggage that keeps us deferring our power and responsibility to move forth on the new transcendent spiritual currents emerging in our lives.

The following solar eclipse lunar cycle to follow will provide yet another level of refinement--bringing support to relinquish our entrapping modalities of life that are perpetuated by living from anitquated beliefs of the past and in hope for some future event to free us--stretched out in time; to instead, take responsibility for our own spiritual and evolutionary freedom here in the NOW--one of the fundamental lessons for humans, to become responsible co-creators--in the image of the Creator.

All of us would like to simply engage in the new currents stirring in our lives. However, accelerating with refined vibrational currents requires we relinquish the emotional patterns, mental beliefs, and the living situations that we are in that no longer resonate with the refined energies emerging anew in our lives.

Our eclipse lies in sidereal Aries, under the auspices of the initiatory trials of the Royal Family. Principal conjoining stars are Alpha Horologium and a black hole, LMC X–3 in the Large Magellanic Cloud. Nearby lies Menkar, the jaws of Cetus; and the obscuring Little Dumbbell Nebula M76 of Perseus. North lies the stars of feet of the entrapped princess, Andromeda, and the stars of Triangulum, the Holy Trinity.

Alpha Horologium, of the pendulum clock, holds the characteristic of "impending time." Here there is a relentless and underlying sense that there is a finite period with time ticking away, and that more than is humanly possible must be done with need "to go back before going forward." Seemingly, a miracle is required, and often time, at the last minute, one arrives--usually provided by another party.

The Little Dumbbell Nebula colors things in two ways. Inattentive or stupid moves will only entrap us more than we already are. Radical movement only exhausts us further and tightens the chain of human bondage. Patience and gentleness are required to escape from danger, but also an inner strength to persist. (These themes lie in the context of entrapped Andromeda and Perseus' initiatory passage preceding his heroism, in the story of the Royal Family.)

The Small and Large Magellanic Clouds (SMC and LMC) are small galaxies that orbit our Milky Way galaxy. We might think of them as our galaxy's young, although not necessarily birthed from the Milky Way. It is more like they are being cared for and reared by--here we have the theme of nurturing, but of life beyond our own immediate sphere

Far below the entire scene of the Royal Family, deep in southern sky, lies Dorado, the gold fish--embodiment of the illumined soul. The head of the goldfish marks the southern pole of the ecliptic--the foundational dome of the soul--the pot of gold protected by the dragon (which encircles the north ecliptic pole). This is why the royal family is adorned in gold and gems / riches--representing the illumination and wealth of the soul--not the illusory wealth of the mortal world). (Dorado "refers not to our little exotic cyprinoid, but to the large coryphaena of the tropical seas, of changing colors at death." (Allen).) Hence, the confusion about our true riches--why we fight over the mineral gold rather than delve deep within for our Christed golden souls. Upon Dorado's head lies the LMC X-3 black hole, which enters the ecliptic here in the initiatory trials presented by sidereal Aries.

Black holes, in general, have an all or nothing nature to them, with no in-between. To enter a black hole in consciousness--for those willing--requires relinquishment of lesser modes of being, those associated with mundane and petty pursuits. This requires the willingness and personal integrity to go deep within our consciousness, to allow a disintegration of the constructs of self we hold, of what we think ourselves to be, and to emerge with our true Essence--the truth of our souls. We then must bring that pure intent back into our life expression. The successful feat results in an inversion or flip in consciousness--with an 'aha' of great magnitude.

The LMC X-3 black hole provides the opportunity to relinquish our arrogant attitudes about our rightful places in world (or heaven), and that keep us entrapped. It asks us to realize the freedom we seek is found only through the initiations of the maturing soul, not in the blessings or curses we think we receive at personality level and wait upon as our lives go by.

The principle star conjoining the mid-point of the Full Moon eclipse and the North Lunar Node is Ruchbah, Delta Cassiopeia, the knee of the queen. Ruchbah requires "transformation of our pride and arrogance." Something is rightfully ours, but any arrogant righteous attitudes that we deserve it, energetically keep away the very thing we want. Our righteous attitudes keep us naive to, and so entrapped in, diversionary lower order forces and paths tripping us on our passage and keep us from living our highest destiny. Ruchbah reveals that something within our selves must die in order to have that which is truly ours. Conjoining Ruchbah is Quasar 3C66A, which brings out of the ordinary experiences that serve to help us step out of our naivete and realize it is our inner righteous attitudes that are of issue.

A Portal of Opportunity

Tightly aspecting our Full Moon eclipse, and coming to power as we approach the Full Moon, are Jupiter and Chiron creating a Grand Trine (open portal) with the Full Moon theme, each in sextile (allied in strength) to the Sun. Jupiter began a new 399-day (synodic) cycle in the midst of the Egyptian Scrabeaus (sidereal Cancer) back in February of 2003. The theme of the current Jupiter cycle we are now in is serving us to mobilize and expand our awareness from the limiting dogmas of the human world--both those personal and those collective, especially those religious-based--and to emerge from darkness and delusion they create, and awaken to Light.

Jupiter has since moved into late sidereal Leo and now conjoins the hind of the Lion and the stars Chort of Leo, Mizar (and Alcor) of Ursa Major, and a seyfert galaxy, NGC 4151 in Canes Venatici. Mizar embodies one the primary rays of growth articulated by some of the world powers. Mizar is raw fiery energy that must express one way or another. Mizar must have a creative outlet but for proper expression, an exceptional focus of vision into the future is required. Mizar brings attention to use of our creative energies; creative and destructive tendencies, and the fear to create lest it results in destruction. Here we learn nature of such volatile forces. Mizar, with averted alignments is also known for catastrophic fires or massacres. Mizar can however express quite artistically. Gunpowder can express as beautiful fireworks or devastating explosions. Mizar expression is always noticed in a grand way, in character with showy and dramatic Leo. Conjoining Chort, the hind of the Lion, can taint this expression due to toxic conditions or an unrefined awareness. The seyfert galaxy provides the dramatic power behind the show.

Jupiter now asks us to mobilize our creative expressions in the world (Mizar) beyond the bounds of our isolating belief structures and dogmatic entrappings (Jupiter's synodic cycle theme). Expansive Jupiter is of the natural law of God, not the mentalized fabrications placed upon this Divine Intelligence by man.

This portal, in part, provides opportunity to relinquish emotionally-bound mentalized (hardened) belief structures. It also provides a new door providing we use the key.

The key? Chiron provides a new opportunity heretofore unavailable. Remember, however that Chiron is also a part of the very significant Pallas-Saturn "T-Square" discussed earlier. Thus, addressing the issues of growth offered by this T-'Square is the key to this Full Moon eclipse portal of opportunity: to relinquish lesser modes of righteous participation or spiteful withdrawal (the Pallas theme) and the need to fight or participate in karmic-based antiquated (often time religious-based) crusades (the Saturn-Al Hecka synodic theme).

The eclipse itself provides the opportunity to release what would normally involve a time consuming process of transformation providing we are willing to surrender our pride and arrogance--a dominant force in the world and in our make up as humans.

Chiron, in later sidereal Sag, lies under the auspices of Lyra, Harp of the Angels, and conjoins the principle star Vega of Lyra; and Alpha, Corona Aus. of the Southern Crown which the Zen Archer (Sag) stands upon. Vega and Alpha Corona Aus. both indicate a multiplicity of opportunities exist for the fulfillment for soul's incarnational sojourn on Earth. The Chiron-Vega link provides opportunity to activate new neurological circuitry within our selves so we may cross new opportunities heretofore unavailable to humankind.

The stars of Lyra embody various facets of the artsciences of harmonics in light, sound, color, and geometry—particularly the wisdom of the artsciences. They are of vision, creativity, and inspire all that is of multi-media, the arts, and higher spiritual education.

Over the past couple of months, many of my readers have asked for my take on the grand sextile configuration occurring on the Nov 8/9 lunar eclipse (the Star of David or two interlocking grand trines)--dubbed the "Harmonic Concordance" as made popular in the astrological community, and on the many proclamations of it having extraordinary significance. I decided to wait until I would write this month's lunar planner material to see what would emerge in my natural exploratory writing process about the entire lunar cycle.

First, I must qualify that my focus with the lunar planer and associated material I present is to provide a tool that teaches us how to live in the NOW, in the ever-unfolding present. It is to help us learn to live in attunement to the symphonic cycles of life. It is NOT about seeking or waiting for some event in time that is going to somehow transform us forever. I do not subscribe to the mentalization that we are waiting on a person, a god, a spaceship, an alien race, or God to come save us--or on an astronomical configuration. I do believe we are here on Earth learning to become (self-realized) beings (gods)--responsible co-creators of life. It is said, "In the image of God we are." Yet we, as a race, have yet to demonstrate it.

"We are the ones we have been waiting for."

Although I present the "Holy Cross" as an EVENT that is occurring NOW, I also explain that this event is occurring in a far more complex astrophysical evolutionary spiral. And although we can identify that event in our world as two intersecting axes in the ecliptic, it expresses on Earth through astronomical cycles unfolding over many years in Earth time. Hence the reason to participate in the NOW, as the real portal is one we are in the midst of each moment of our lives. I see this lunar cycle and the lunar eclipse of Nov 8/9 merely as parts of this continuing symphonic unfoldment.

I have so far presented one of the Grand Trines, the principal one that is ACTIVE on the Full Moon eclipse (Moon-Jupiter-Chiron). I define an ACTIVE alignment (aspect) as one that is about to occur, building into its crescendo. In the case of the Moon-Jupiter-Chiron Grand Trine, the Moon is the trigger, making this Grand Trine active over a very short period; and it is occurring in the crescendo of the Full Moon eclipse itself.

The Jupiter-Chiron trine occurs on Nov 6 in the crescendo of the Full Moon eclipse. Two days later the Moon trines both Jupiter and Chiron. Thus, all lie in a very tight (highly active) orb of about two degrees. This is why this Grand Trine is quite significant and potent--it is active on the eclipse.

The other Grand Trine, created by the Sun, Mars, and Saturn, is one that I do not see as active on the Full Moon. Now, this is a matter of astrological technique. And with all due respect to other astrologers and their diverse approaches I present a differing view of this EVENT here:

First, the Mars-Saturn trine is one that has three triggers (June 22 - Aug 12 - Nov 13), this being due to the retrograde of Mars, which occurred over the last few months. This (Mars-trine-Saturn) cycle is significant by itself, and of course has its own unique theme (discussed later).

The orb between Mars and Saturn on the eclipse is quite tight, about two degrees, and the two planets are in the crescendo of (approach to) their final aspect, so this trine is quite active, but this aspect does not occur until several days after the eclipse, on Nov 13.

The Sun however, is quite past the point of serving as the trigger to the Mars-Saturn trine to make a Grand Trine. The Sun trined Mars on Oct 30 (at which time Saturn was in an orb of more than six degrees to this trine). The Sun then trined Saturn on Nov 5 (while the orb with Mars was almost four degrees). If we are going to say a Grand Trine occurs with the Sun, then it occurs from Oct 30 to Nov 5. Plus, the members of this Grand Trine never were very tight to start with, were spread over several days, and occur prior to the Full Moon eclipse. In other words, the aspects that would have made an ACTIVE Grand Trine have come and gone before the Nov 8 eclipse. At the time of the eclipse, the Sun is past trine with Saturn by about three degrees and past trine with Mars by almost six degrees. Thus, I do not recognize this second planetary configuration as an ACTIVE portal on the Full Moon.

A Matter of Technique:

Many astrologers acknowledge much larger orbs than I do and at the same time do not take into account whether the actual aspects have already occurred. I tend to look at very tight orbs only and when the involved planets are in the crescendo of (just prior to) their aspect. This is when the geometric harmonic between two planetary positions is most potent (active). If a large orb is permitted, and we ignore the fact that the Sun-Mars and Sun-Saturn aspects have previously occurred, then we may consider this a Grand Trine occurring on the Full Moon.

The first Grand Trine mentioned (Moon-Jupiter-Chiron) and the Pallas-Chiron-Saturn T-Square--from my perspective--far out weigh any significance of the Sun-Mars-Saturn configuration. They are the two primary and active geometries occurring in this lunar cycle.

Unprecedented Humanitarian Support

Uranus completes its retrograde period on the Full Moon eclipse--also in the Full Moon crescendo. Uranus had been retrograde since June, during which time it began its new 370-day synodic cycle (on Aug 24, 2003). Uranus lies in early sidereal Aquarius--its domicile. The theme of this 370-day Uranus cycle is defined by the star Enif of Pegasus. Uranus serves us to break from the conformity of the past, and its influence can be spontaneous, shocking, and radical.

Enif of Pegasus, the nose of the magical flying horse Pegasus, brings intuitiveness and sensitivity to the humanitarian / Aquarian pursuit. Enif is of people with the intuitive awareness to recognize what is of essence, of value, and worthy of humanitarian support, it is of those who are capable of providing material and financial support and who have the sensitivity to do so.

Over the net few years, Uranus continues to align with very fortuitous and humanitarian stars of sidereal Aquarius. Along with the wonderful new Mars 780-day synodic cycle, which just recently began in sidereal Aquarius as well, we should see unprecedented humanitarian support in the world. Now as Uranus moves direct, we move forth into this new Enif-Uranian expression. Conjoining this rather magical Full Moon eclipse, this is a wonderful time for radical and positive change in all of our lives and upon the global stage.

Humanitarian Demands

Our Manifestation and Demonstration Moon occurs on Nov 12 just before the Mars-Saturn final trine. This three-trigger trine (due to the Mars retrograde) began on June 22. In the midst of the Mars retrograde, Mars began its new synodic cycle on August 28, 2003. Prior to this date we were completing the rather difficult Mars synodic cycle defined by the sting of the Scorpion (which began prior to the World Trade Tower terrorist attack. The new Mars cycle we are currently in is far more beneficent--supporting the application of our creative power and the patriarchal force in the world with a new humanitarian focus. This is discussed in more depth on the Mars web page. During this very significant Mars transition, we have the Mars-Saturn trine cycle occurring. Saturn demands we deal with things. Not only is Saturn the lord of time but also of karmic retribution. This trine would seem to have been making unavoidable a global scenario that would demand the major transition from using our Mars (patriarchal and creative) force with the sting of the Scorpion to applying it with a beneficent humanitarian focus. Perhaps the destructive events (sting) occurring prior to that transition were not only inevitable, but also that which was necessary to shift the world beyond the bounds of separatism created by religious factions and into a new humanitarian focus, which we are just beginning to see.
