November 23, 2003 New Moon
November 23, 2003 - December 23, 2003
Astronomical Myth is a "picture language," imagery that articulates the qualities of cosmic intelligence expressing throughout the greater heavens and through our lives. We are not separate from the greater heavens, from the stars and planets around us, or from our beloved Earth, but are intimate parts of this dynamic, continually unfolding heavenly symphony. This entirety is our cosmic consciousness, the totality of our being. To explore the greater heavens and the heavenly cycles is to explore that which we are--our embracing consciousness and our spiritual evolution.
The stars would not be in the heavens
if we were meant to walk in darkness.
The Total Solar Eclipse
Our last lunar cycle's lunar eclipse offered us the opportunity to relinquish emotional-based attachments to the last several months of our experiential life process, attachments perpetuating the entrapments we find our selves in.
The Solar eclipse lunar cycle beginning now (Nov 23, 2003) offers opportunity for yet another level of relinquishment, here in our perceptions of our selves and of the roles we play in our daily lives that keep us bound in our life experiences.

Personal Power
This New Moon Eclipse conjoins the star Dschuba, the Head of the Scorpion.
Exploration of the ecliptic, through the sidereal signs, degree by degree, reveals the evolutionary path of spiritual growth for the incarnating soul. The mythical imagery of the heavens articulates the nature of this growth process. Our mythical depiction of the Virgin giving birth into the reincarnational clutches (the two claws) of the Scorpion (presented in last lunar months text) articulates our birth, as evolving souls, into the incarnate world of duality, into the apparent conflict and entrapment that the world of duality presents.
As we move along the ecliptic, from within the claws of the Scorpion, across the cusp of the sidereal Libra-Scorpio, to the head of the Scorpion, we move (in souls' growth process) from the perception that we are entrapped victims in the forces of duality, to claiming our personal responsibility for our experience in duality and graduation from it. In this transition we learn about the true nature of POWER, where it truly lies, and the responsible use of it. Here we learn of self-mastery and the means to graduate (ascending) from duality's paradox.

To learn more of this see: The Astronomical Truth of the Virgin
Under the auspices of the (two) claws, early on in the incarnational process, we perceive "power" to be something outside of self, something we must either accumulate (as wealth, or strength over others or over our environment), or as something threatening that we must protect ourselves from. Either way, we believe we are victims of external forces that we must somehow deal with. We hold the belief that we either gain life's blessings or its curses. Our dualistic response to duality's paradox is to either be passive, humbly waiting on forces outside of our selves to either come to save us, or to be aggressive, thinking we must save ourselves by battling against the conflicting forces around us that are out to devour us. This mode of being is based from a separatist view of creation, one where we view ourselves as being isolated from the greater Creative Intelligence that is responsible for our reality--(again thinking creative power to be something outside of self). In this mentality, it is acceptable to be irresponsible in our reality, as there is no reason to be otherwise if someone will save us in the end--or condemn us to hell anyway. It is the reason we do not change, grow, or move beyond the patterns and addictions in our lives. Here we remain powerless, entrapped in the clutches of the Scorpion.
Our New Moon Theme
As we move from the claws to the Scorpion's head, marked by the star Dschuba, we find impetus to take responsibility for the paradoxical entrapments in which we find ourselves, to become responsible co-creators of our reality--as we wake to realize we already create our reality, whether unconsciously or consciously. Here we become aware that we are active forces that steer the unfoldment of our incarnate experience and the experience of our world.
Dschuba inspires us to realize our power lies within ourselves, in our ability to choose to respond responsibly from our inner knowledge rather than unconsciously react irresponsibly as if victims to the forces in which we find ourselves--to realize we have a choice. The forces of duality merely provide the opportunity for us to consciously choose.
To choose, and to be responsible for doing so, is the means to develop our personal power and for our souls to grow--to become responsible co-creators and graduate from the perpetuated struggle in duality's paradox. The only way to build personal power is by demonstrably exercising it--by expressing the quality of our inner creative energy outward through choice, honoring it to be a steering force in the world, rather than by attempting to accumulate quantity, which merely gives us a false sense of power and reinforces our entrapment.
Only by demonstrably participating as responsible co-creators can we become aware that power is not something outside of our selves that either determines our salvation or our demise, but that it is our responsibility as humans to learn to consciously direct the power that lies within responsibly. This is self-empowerment.
Further along in our process of soul growth, as we move from the head to the heart of the Scorpion (to Antares, which governs the sidereal sign of Scorpio), we learn that we must use our hearts to steer our knowledge (the awareness of having choice) to effect change in our lives. This is the power of intent, the active power of love.
Our New Moon Eclipse, conjoining the Head of the Scorpion, initiates a lunar cycle that provides opportunity to relinquish dissempowering self-perceptions about where power lies and the roles we play based upon those perceptions that perpetuate our dilemmas, addictions, and entrapments. It asks us to relinquish being irresponsible victims waiting on forces separate from our selves to come save us or destroy us. It asks us to mature as responsible individuals that consciously co-create a new octave of being, a new world. It asks us to realize we are not separate and helpless souls, ones grieving over the past while hoping for a brighter future, but are integral and intimate directing forces articulating the Universal Creative Intelligence of which we are parts--day-by-day, moment-by-moment, here and now.
In our stellar mythos of the sidereal sign of Scorpio, Ophiuchus stands upon the Scorpion exemplifying one who has claimed self-mastery over the paradoxical perceptions of duality that perpetuate the death and rebirth of the soul.
Ophiuchus lies on the ecliptic, standing over the Scorpion, which swings quite south of the ecliptic under Ophiuchus. Antares, heart of the Scorpion, defines the center of the sidereal sign of Scorpio, the Serpent Point, and embodies the essence of the Scorpio constellation. Antares lies below the ecliptic as well, in the body of the Scorpion. Because Ophiuchus actually crosses the ecliptic, it is the thirteenth ecliptical constellation, but it lies in the sidereal sign of Scorpio.
Ophiuchus is knowledge holder over the raw creative forces governing life and death--one who has attained ascension from the lower-order perceptions that perpetuate re-incarnational entrapment. Ophiuchus is exemplar of who has brought the interplay of the forces of duality to a greater spiritual fulfillment.
In Greek myth, Aesculapius, the mediciner of the ship Argo, is also imaged as Ophiuchus, knowledgeable of advanced healing processes beyond the cycle of life and death. The Christian resurrected Jesus (Jeshu) also articulates the theme of Ophiuchus.
In our stellar image, Ophiuchus stands with the serpent (Serpentis) coiled around his body and held in his hands. The neck and head of the serpent reach toward the Northern Crown (Corona Borealis), which lies above the Chelae (claws) of the Scorpion. The neck (Unukalhai) and head of the snake embody the essence and wisdom of living true to soul, in one's true self-mastery--as a Christed (soul infused, spiritually awakened) being of light. The astronomical symbol of Ophiuchus is the caduceus--the entwined double serpent upon a staff--the double helix of the DNA.
Ophiuchus and the stars of the sidereal sign of Scorpio are associated with our education regarding the use of our creative forces and raw creative power. The entire image of Ophiuchus standing upon the scorpion with this magnificent snake reaching for the North Crown represents claiming our self-mastery to attain evolutionary fulfillment out of the karmic-based reincarnational process. This is to become ascended in vibration, an illumined being free from perpetuated reincarnational entrapment in the forces of duality. Having claimed the wisdom the serpent has to offer, this is, literally, the illumination of the DNA, the urn of the soul.
Excerpts on the "Illumination of the DNA"
--from "Erection of the Holy Cross: The Sacred Geometry of Global Change"
"The DNA is a double-banded molecular helix (a spiraling ladder) comprised of a hydrogen-bonded, phosphodiester (light-bearing) lattice (circuitry) that literally translates cosmic intelligence into human expression. The DNA molecular spiral is the vehicle of the soul. The incarnating soul coding overlays upon the genome (human coding) held in the molecular matrix of the DNA, giving soul a palpable form of expression.
Ideally, the DNA molecule is intended to superconduct consciousness in a way that illuminates the genetic urn, much like a light bulb that illuminates when electricity passes through its filament. When the bulb is on, we see light radiating from the bulb, when it is off, we only see the unillumined filament (circuitry) within the bulb--and are left in darkness. Our current view of the DNA molecule is of its un-illumined, double-banded, skeletal structure, of just the circuitry.
In the non-illumined genetic state, our DNA conducts consciousness but minimally, with consciousness bouncing in a reflective nature, trickling through the genetic lattice. This impeded flow of consciousness results in the bio-logical mode of reason, resulting only in the ability to compare opposites, mirror-image perspectives within our own perception--in essence, to only be able to reason our way through life. This is why we perceive a dualistic world of shadow and solid form--the reflection of the expression of our own consciousness. This also is why our human patterning dominates and aberates the expression of our true soul essence, as we frustratingly struggle to express our full potential that, despite our yearning to be somehow more that we are, seems endlessly held in check. This also is why we degenerate and die, with need to perpetually re-birth.
When the pole of the Earth tilted away from the plane of galactic light, circa 12,000 years ago, at the first, 90° Holy Cross, incarnate souls began to experience the fall from light. At that time, the DNA helix dimmed, ceasing to pass Soul Essence Light, resulting in 12,000 years of temporal darkness. The 270° Holy Cross occurring now, circa 2000 A.D., marks the return from temporal darkness into the divine half of the cycle, where begins this re-unification of consciousness.
Now, as Earth's gravo-magnetic field reorients toward the plane of galactic light, within the spherical geometry of the Holy Cross, the hydrogen-bonded lattice of the DNA spiral begins to superconduct consciousness. An eventual avalanche of consciousness through the genetic urn literally will illuminate the skeletal lattice of the DNA into one, radiant, unified spiral of light--resulting in a selfrealized, Soul-infused, unified Being of Light. It is only re-illumination of the DNA that allows unified field perception. As this occurs, our bio-logical modality of comparison (judgment) ceases, and we see beyond the conflicts that were inherent in the un-illumined, dualistic, vibrational mode of the Urn of Consciousness--beyond the shadow cast upon our mortal eyes."
Not Just a Head Trip
Also contributing to this New Moon eclipse theme are the qualities of Kornephoros, the shoulder of Hercules; Kajam, Omega Hercules (a rotating double star / period of 2.951 days); the Great Hercules Globular Cluster M13 (composed of over a million stars); gamma and theta of the Camel; Yed Prior of Ophiuchus, the hand of death; and Alpha Circini (the compass at the foot of the Centaur--teacher of the right way to live to claim our self-mastery).
Claiming our personal power is not merely a mental head trip decision, but is a continuous process requiring strength and perseverance to constantly choose to walk the path of soul--the path leading to our greater self mastery rather than that which is merely convenient for personality. Alpha Circini, at the Centuar's feet, reveals we must stay aligned with the path of soul, to make choices that serve to build our personal power, our self-empowerment, our freedom from the clutches of the Scorpion.
To choose the path of soul is to choose beyond white or black, left or right, who's right who's wrong, of what is more comfortable or convenient, of what to avoid or hoard. To walk the path of soul is to choose that which supports our greater spiritual growth. Our choice is in how to respond to life experience, rather than to choose simply with the intent to avoid something or gain something. Here the growth of the soul becomes the underlying motivator rather than the comforts that merely placate egoic self. It is, in a sense, getting in front of life, facing it head on and making choices that direct our lives, rather than being blown, after the fact, in reaction to the forces of life that are seemingly cast upon us.
A Note to astrologers:
In soul level sidereal astrology, we use a clockwise house direction rather than counter-clockwise direction, the latter being common to personality-based astrology. Clockwise is how we move through the day in time, from Ascendant to Descendant, morning to evening. The difference is looking down from soul awareness upon the chart, on life, rather than up from the chart, from personality perspective seeking to find a greater awareness seemingly outside of self. In the clockwise direction, we face the movement of the planets, embracing their forces and that which life brings. Moving in the opposite direction, we are blind to the forces of life, running from them, often being blind-sided by them, unconsciously reacting to life, forever trying to accept or avoid that which has already occurred. In the clockwise direction, we are working with the forces of life in the present, like clay in our hands moment-to-moment, as responsible sculptors of life.

M13, Image Credit: Lick Observatory / 120 inch telescope.
M13 is visible to the naked eye as a faint fuzzy star. It is one of brightest globular clusters in the norther sky and is considered one of the finest and most stunning. M13 lies about 24,000 light years from us, is 160 light years in diameter, and contains more than a million stars. The brightest stars of M13 are red giants, which are as bright as 2000 of our suns. Our sun would not even be visible if we were looking from M13 toward Earth. |
Kornephoros, the shoulder of Hercules, embodies our Earth bound responsibility to support and help each other through the myriad of labors encountered upon our Earthian sojourn.
The Great Hercules Globular Cluster M13 embodies the superhuman strength of Hercules gained from the countless experiences seemingly thrown upon the God-mans earthly path. This brilliant ball of fire represents our soul wisdom amalgamated from innumerable human experiences that becomes available to draw upon as our personal power. This radiant stellar accumulation is Hercules' strength and endurance that he offers to guide and aid others in claiming their own self-mastery--their own god-hood.
We accumulate personal power by building it within ourselves demonstrably, experientially, over time. In this process, something must die (Yed), that is, the part of self that wants to play victim to the forces of life, that wants to irresponsibly react to life's experiences. Claiming our self-mastery requires our willingness to take responsibility for our experiences, no matter what they are; to realize we create our lives moment-by-moment and to actively participate as the creators that we are. Although some choices do lead to blunderings and others to success, our successes and failures build our personal power, the wisdom gained only by choosing.
The Theme Emerges
Our lunar cycle theme commences in a dynamic powerhouse--with the Moon triggering Juno, Mercury, Vesta, and Pluto, all which lie in sidereal Scorpio. Opportunity to clarify communication in mutual equality and respect is of issue to get clear and focused in the new octave of experience unfolding before us. Venus, lying just across the cusp of sidereal Sag, conjoining the Center of our Galaxy, inspires "allegiance of the heart"--to our greater truths and missions of our souls--held in our flame of our hearts.
By the Crescent Moon of Nov 26, which conjoins Chiron and the stars of Lyra, harp of the angels, in sidereal Sag, we realize the opportunity for growth in this lunar cycle is to cross new bridges of light only made possible by the relinquishment of lesser modes of self-perception and ways of being and living.
Our First Quarter Moon of Nov 30 lies in sidereal Aquarius conjoining the Urn of the Waterman (Zeta Aquarius) and Skat, star of the foundation, providing our inspiration to action in this lunar cycle. These stars are of humanitarian, philanthropic foundations and organizations; of the means, vessels, and ways for material and financial support to flow for future oriented humanitarian focused people and projects.
Creative Intelligence
In the Pollinating Phase of the Lunar Cycle, between the Gibbous Moon and Full Moon, the asteroid Pallas completes is retrograde period. The last few months, Pallas has been thrashing around in the dramatic and tormenting emotional waters of sidereal Pisces, tangling with ole' Cetus, the technobureaucratic monster of collective human consciousness. Here we had the opportunity to clear any (Pallas) issues we may hold due to emotional confusions and entanglements based in fear and judgment. Over the months to come, Pallas will slowly swim from the recent turbulence along underground currents of the river of life. Our recent experience provides us the opportunity to emerge from the Piscian depths to express our creative intelligence from beyond the judgments inherent in the world of duality, from the wisdom gained by having been--at one time or another--on both sides of the fence.

Vision, Enthusiasm & Realization
--a New Journey
The Full Moon of Dec 8 lies in sidereal Taurus (opposite Juno-Sun-Pluto), in the horns of the Bull, while conjoining Kursa of Eridanus (the river of Life) and Rigel of Orion. North in the heavens lies the Camel.
Rigel is of enterprising entrepreneurialship. Orions in general are known for their architectural capacity. Prominent alignments with Rigel (and conjoining Bellatrix) bring the capacity to embody, direct and execute large, extravagant and grandiose projects; bringing good through commerce and business affairs. Kursa is of new beginnings, new journeys, new involvements, and new legs of our lives. Although it may be time to go forth anew, into a new phases of our lives, we must be aware of the tenacious perseverance required when staring new life journeys, to move from the wars and trials of the past to the freedom of the future. The Camel articulates the nature of this zodiakal band well: which spreads wealth around the world through commerce and business; is a resilient, hard working, intelligent, beast of burden with the ability to go for days (without water) before becoming distressed, one suited for long and arduous journeys.
Movement & Expansion
Our Last Quarter Moon of Dec 16, stimulating our inner need to initiate change, conjoins Jupiter at the hind of the Lion. This inspires movement and expansion from past toxic environments and their diversionary winds that may have been suppressing our freedom of being and the expression of the higher truths of our souls.
We turn our attention from our experience in this lunar cycle--and from the completions offered by the eclipses--on the Balsamic Moon of Dec 19 in anticipation of the next cycle to come. Our Sun's annual New Birth occurs on, Dec 22, 07:04 GMT, Dec 22, 12:04 AM MST. And our next New Moon of Dec 23, 2003 lies upon the Gate of God in sidereal Sag--the primary portal and reference point for Earth's precessional cycle of the Holy Cross--more to come then....
