New Frontiers in Experience and Consciousness
February 20, 2004 - March 20, 2004
Astronomical Myth is a "picture language," imagery that articulates the qualities of cosmic intelligence expressing throughout the greater heavens and through our lives. We are not separate from the greater heavens, from the stars and planets around us, or from our beloved Earth, but are intimate parts of this dynamic, continually unfolding heavenly symphony. This entirety is our cosmic consciousness, the totality of our being. To explore the greater heavens and the heavenly cycles is to explore that which we are--our embracing consciousness and our spiritual evolution.
The stars would not be in the heavens
if we were meant to walk in darkness.
New Frontiers in Experience and Consciousness
Our New Moon (of Feb 20, 2004) refreshingly lies in the first decan (the first third) of sidereal Aquarius (after the last rather heavy lunar cycle in sidereal Capricorn). We now leave the darkness that had limited our perception as we expand our vision to our future betterment and extend our hands to embrace greater possibilities around us.
The stars contributing to this month's lunar theme are Enif of Pegasus and Sadalmelik of Aquarius. Also influencing are Fomalhaut of Pisces Australis and Deneb of Cygnus--all composing a beneficent and fortuitous section of the zodiak.
Fomalhaut, one the "Four Royal Architects" is the administrative seat of the aquatic constellations. Fomalhaut embodies the essence of sidereal Aquarius, the Waterman--inspiring future vision for an evolved humanitarian-based society. Fomalhaut inspires new ideas and pursuits in the art-sciences and in social issues of the world. It is of the human populous and the flow within that populous that creates a wholesome human condition.
Enif of Pegasus, our primary New Moon star, is the nose of the magical flying horse. Pegasus brings intuitiveness and sensitivity to the humanitarian / Aquarian pursuit. Enif is characteristic of altruistic people, those with the intuitive awareness to recognize what is of essence, of value, and worthy of humanitarian support. It is of those who are capable of providing material and financial support and who have the sensitivity to do so.
Sadalmelik Alpha Aquarius is the "lucky one of the kingdom." Sadalmelik creates an air of recognition and acceptance in the kingdom of human affairs--especially for those involved in the arts and sciences. Sadalmelik brings fortuitous opportunity for those with humanitarian interest, and who are in those arenas where such interest can be expressed.
In the northern heavens lies Deneb, the tail of the swan (conjoining Fomalhaut). Cygnus is also the "Messianic Needle of the Heavens" (dubbed by Andreas Takra) and the top ((head) of the cross lying upon the galactic equator. Deneb, is the first primary star that Earth's pole encounters in Earth's 25,000-year precessional cycle, and thus it is the messianic head of the precessional Cycle of the Holy Cross--embodying the God-Essence in the "Evolutionary Cycle of the Soul." Deneb asks us to stand in the awareness of our pure soul essence and inner truth, in our God-self wholeness and to participate from the maturity of our unadulterated androgynous pure soul essence, from beyond the separations and categorizations of race, sex, and creed.
Conjoining Enif and our New Moon is Pulsar PSR 2217+47 of Cygnus. Pulsars are "beacons for the soul." Pulsars are neutron (collapsed) stars that emit electrically neutral, subatomic particles at consistently dependable pulsating intervals. They are one of the means through which "Evolutionary Intelligence" communicates through the heavenly hierarchy of consciousness. Pulsars are usually found along the galactic equatorial plane and thus provide an ever-present guiding message associated with our greater evolutionary purpose as sentient souls incarnating on Earth. A pulsar's messages is received in our sub-atomic coding that transcends the gross level of language and human diversity. This guidance expresses as a continuous and dependable subtle current articulating through the zodiakal character created by the conjoining stars. Pulsars guide us in our spiritual growth and evolutionary fulfillment. They require we listen to and patiently follow the subtle soul-level impulses guiding us in our daily lives--like trusting Spirit.
This specific pulsar, PSR 2217+47, has a period of 0.5384673780 seconds which translates to a fundamental frequency of 1.8571227445 Hz., the alpha brain wave frequency of 7.428490978 Hz., the audio frequency of 237.711711296 Hz., and the light wavelength of 5733.8 Ångstroms (a yellow-lemon color); with a cross-resonance to Earths "Circumference Harmonic"--thus interacting directly with the emotional and psychic weather of human collective consciousness and daily global affairs. Sedgewick appropriately points out on this one that we must make a definitive choice for "completion of deliberation." In essence, a purging of mind is required to move from "diversity (fragmented) consciousness," which is driven by the mindsets of collective human consciousness, to the wholeness of "essence consciousness," to participate from our individual soul-level / God-essence truth (which is articulated by the star Deneb of Cygnus); and to shift from the concept of personal family to global family.
For an introduction to "Planetary Harmonics" and how they translate to brain waves, sound, and light please visit the Planetary Harmonics web page.
Our New Moon also conjoins Uranus, which currently conjoins Fomalhaut and Deneb while in its empowering and home zodiakal sign--adding to the theme of this lunar cycle. Uranus makes its passage through sidereal Aquarius from the 2002 through 2010. Uranus was last in sidereal Aquarius in the 1920's. Uranus inspires spontaneous and unexpected severing from the conformity of the past and a radical new expression. The moon conjoins Uranus less than three hours after the New Moon adding a dynamic charge to the start to the lunar cycle.
Uranus inspires new frontiers in experience and consciousness--the true pioneer and humanitarian. Uranus asks us to break from tradition and is uninhibited by convention and establishment. Uranus (Qabalistic Shin) is the embodiment of the expression of the "Christ Energy"--expression of unified and unique soul-level self in radical confidence. Uranus produces uninhibited spontaneity and individuality. Uranus provides a future focus and orientation; and embodies quickness and alertness of consciousness with a lightning like mind. Uranus provides an ability to work with higher orders and principles, providing a higher-mind prowess for telepathy and all super-consciousness functions and mechanisms. Uranus brings appreciation of excellence and perfection; is applier of the higher sciences; and is super-consciousness in creative expression.
The New Moon is a perfect time for prayer or meditation--to go within self to discover our "personal lunar theme," which nests within the context of the general collective lunar theme presented here. The ability to listen, honor, and trust what we intuit on the New Moon is of essence because that inner message is what will lead to our "Path of Fulfillment" if we work with it and act upon it throughout the lunar cycle. The first 24 hours starting from the New Moon is a time of discovery, either slowly revealing a simple theme or being quite clear and specific, even suggesting a major life change. With Uranus in the mix, radical brilliant flashes from higher-mind may be accessible.

Expanding upon Theme
Our Crescent Moon of Feb 23 beautifully conjoins Venus (seen just after sunset in the western sky) and the star Revati (material riches) of Sidereal Pisces, inspiring us to expand upon the New Moon theme from the truth in our hearts. Venus is fortuitously exalted in late sidereal Pisces and while conjoined Revati, Venus inspires material abundance in the world of human affairs. Our Crescent Moon asks us to release limiting or old approaches, and to live from the fullness in our hearts.
External Stimulus to Action
Our First Quarter Moon of Feb 27 (MST) (Feb 28 GMT) conjoins the Hyades asterism and Aldebaran, another of the Four Royals, the Eye of the Bull, which defines the center of sidereal Taurus. Here we find our "stimulus to action" emerging from the hellish-like struggles often time found in the mortal world. The stimulus is to apply our humanitarian focused lunar theme toward physical logistics and infrastructure supportive of our daily living.
In galactic lore, Aldebaran is Vision Holder for the Starseed Mission on Earth, defining what Emissaries of Light can best accomplish to serve humanity through evolutionary transition. In down to Earth terms, Aldebaran holds the vision for global leaders and world servers inspiring the administrative planning of world affairs, specifically for physical logistics and a global infrastructure designed to support humanity through evolutionary unfoldment and global change. Prominent alignments with the Aldebaran / Antares axis can express into the political and global arena. The visions that many people attune to regarding alternative living centres, educational centres, emergency preparedness programmes, etc., are parts of the inspiration from this stars emanations. At a personal level, Aldebaran can indicate involvement with physical places, abodes, and projects supportive of alternative modalities of living. It also inspires business that supports family. Aldebaran inspires us to take the physical action required to manifest our visions.
Attraction and Involvement
The Gibbous Moon of March 2 marks entry into the "pollinating phase" of the lunar cycle. Occurring in early sidereal Cancer and conjoining Alsciaukat, the Thorn in the Lynx, and Aludra, the pure one of the breed, the Gibbous Moon magnetically brings unique and unexpected people together. Portals open for chance encounters providing we stay in present-time alertness.
Getting on with the Show
Jupiter's new synodic cycle begins on March 3. A Jupiter Full Moon in late sidereal Leo occurs on March 6 conjoining Mizar of the Great Bear. Mizar stimulates raw fiery energy that must express one way or another. Mizar must have a creative outlet, but for its proper expression, we must apply it with creative vision. Mizar brings attention to use of our creative energies; creative and destructive tendencies, and the fear to create lest it results in destruction. Mizar, with averted alignments is also known for catastrophic fires or massacres. Mizar can however express quite artistically. Gunpowder can express as beautiful fireworks or devastating explosions. Mizar expression is always noticed in a grand way, in character with showy and dramatic Leo.
Jupiter is of wealth and reciprocity: Jupiter embodies the totality of the wealth that the soul has gained throughout soul's entire incarnational journey; and the reciprocation of that wealth / gift back to the world. Jupiter's force is mobilizing and expansive. This is why on a mundane level Jupiter governs money and finance (along with Venus), simply because money is a mobilizing agent. Jupiter is sociable, governing travel and finance, is of fulfillment, and is future oriented. Jupiter is the Spiritual Law Giver (beyond the laws of man), supporting us to mobilize and live our greater Spiritual Truth. Jupiter expresses as fluidity in movement, vitality, and enthusiasm. Jupiter expresses openness and willingness to palpate and embrace life, people, and experience. Jupiter holds a kinesthetic and magnetic quality; is of physical fitness, strength, and coordination. Jupiter is serendipitous, opportunistic, fortunate, and lucky; with taste for an appreciation of elegance and beauty (along with Venus). Fun loving, good natured, free, and independent Jupiter provides the ability to participate freely in the world and to live in universal flow.
On our Full Moon, we have fortuitous and beneficent Jupiter expressing the essence of Mizar providing a wonderful force for dramatic mobilization and expansion in our lives--also providing a festive pre-Full Moon.
Inner Need to Change
Our Last Quarter Moon on March 13 lies at the "sting of the Scorpion." The Moon also conjoins Pluto creating our "inner need to change." This is not necessarily an ominous alignment. It may simply arouse a need to end or leave modalities or forms that are antiquated, that no longer serve our wellbeing.
Pluto ensures soul integrity prevails: Pluto will destruct personality-based alliances and personality driven motivations to ensure soul's mission is attained, even at the cost of the personality life. This implies a need for letting go. The nature of the alliances destructed is a function of the location of Pluto in the astrological chart. Pluto is independent, individual, autonomous, the revolutionist, and the extremist. Pluto is of isolation and aloneness. Pluto fears not battle, war, or death. Pluto is also where, generationally, unacceptability occurs, where the antiquated must be destroyed--in the genetic / cellular patterns carried in ourselves and so in those expressed in the world.
Pluto works at a cellular and primordial level, with pre-birth & past lifetime issues. Pluto can invoke cellular level stored fear regarding death, transmutation, and survival issues; as well as all early childhood programming. Pluto is an "opener" and a "deprogrammer" that provides doorways for new growth and unfoldment to occur and Pluto-type experiences should be worked with in this capacity.
Pluto is actually a dual planet: the Pluto-Charon System, two bodies rotating around a common (barrycenter) point, in spin orbit synchronicity. Pluto has an extreme eccentric orbit and an ecliptic (orbital inclination) that is tilted 17.2° with respect to Earths--partly why it cuts through the incarnational issues. Its rotational tilt is ~122°. The diameters of Pluto and Charon (not to be confused with Chiron) create a very slow beat frequency--part of its multifaceted astrophysical parameters responsible for undermining cellular patterning.
Pluto conjoins Ras Alhague, the head of Ophiuchus, throughout this year, but will be crossing Lesath, the sting of the Scorpion (and Beta Ara) in 2005-6. The sting of the Scorpion is from which the transmutational elixir (produced from the often hard lessons of life) drips onto the "Altar of the Centaur," upon which our spiritual transformation occurs. This is required passage before Pluto moves into the reprieve of sidereal Sagittarius in 2006-7 and over Galactic Center. Also conjoining the sting is the June 1994 Nova in Ophiuchus--if that year holds any indication of what may lie ahead over the next couple of years. The last time Pluto was moving over the sting was in 1757-8--for you history buffs.
Focus to the Future
On the Balsamic Moon of March 17, we turn our attention from this lunar cycle in anticipation of the next to come. The Balsamic Moon is the time when we coalesce the experience of this lunar cycle into its seed essence, which will then sprout through the theme of the next lunar cycle to come.
