Astronomical Myth is a "picture language," imagery that articulates the qualities of cosmic intelligence expressing throughout the greater heavens and through our lives. We are not separate from the greater heavens, from the stars and planets around us, or from our beloved Earth, but are intimate parts of this dynamic, continually unfolding heavenly symphony. This entirety is our cosmic consciousness, the totality of our being. To explore the greater heavens and the heavenly cycles is to explore that which we are--our embracing consciousness and our spiritual evolution.

The stars would not be in the heavens
if we were meant to walk in darkness.

Our New Moon (of Mar 20, 2004) occurs about 16 hours after the equinox. The sun and moon are therefore less than one degree past the vernal point (the point in the ecliptic were the Sun resides on the equinox), which is at 5° sidereal Pisces. The vernal point moves westward through the ecliptic at a rate of about 1° every 72 years due to Earth's ~25,920 year precessional cycle. The movement of the vernal point (and its opposite point --the anti-vernal point) is called the precession of the equinoxes. The vernal point also defines 0° tropical Aries and is the reference for the divisions of the tropical zodiak. The movement of the vernal point (and the tropical signs) through the sidereal zodiak defines the current zodiakal age. We are currently finishing the Age of Pisces. The Age of Aquarius formally begins after the vernal point moves another 5 degrees to the cusp of sidereal Aquarius. This will occur in about 360 years from now (5° x 72 years).

The Divine Intercession

However, the vernal point's arrival to 5° sidereal Pisces, at this time in Earth's precessional cycle, creates a primary event that supersedes the importance of changing zodiakal ages: this event is "The Erection of the Holy Cross."

To learn more about Earth's precession, the zodiakal ages, the intimate relationship between the sidereal and tropical zodiaks, and the intercession of the Holy Cross, please visit the Sidereal Astrology web page.

Our Primordial Origin

This specific location in the ecliptic is yet more significant. Five degrees sidereal Pisces is also the longitude of what I dub the "Primordial Origin." This is the most northern point (in ecliptical latitude) along the galactic equator. This point marks the beginning of Earth's precessional cycle. This fiducial (beginning point) naturally reveals itself when we observe Earth's geometric orientation to the galactic plane. When Earth's north celestial pole (NCP) aligns with this location in the precessional cycle, a condition exists where the genetic primordial origin of the incarnate soul is one with galactic awareness.

At this time, Earth's rotational axis is lying as close to parallel to the galactic plane as it can get in the entire precessional cycle. Earth's rotational axis is most potentized with the essence of galactic energies at this time because the polar axis is lying at rest upon the galactic plane, submerged in the ocean, in the unified field, of galactic awareness.

This is only the first but primary reason to assign this location in the polar arc as Earth's precessional point of origin. Here, with the commencement of precession, we begin our evolutionary unfoldment as the foundational axis of Earth-plane consciousness awakens, lifting itself from the primordial waters of the galactic ocean. As this occurs, the NCP moves away from our Point of Origin, separating from Galactic Awareness. Thus, the NCP, the eternally moving Godhead, begins its great journey around the polar arc and through the seven heavens, which divide the northern celestial dome. This point defines the beginning of soul's incarnational journey from alpha to omega upon a temporal platform created by Earth's precessional cycle. To see a star map of the "North Celestial Dome" please visit Under The Stars.

The Polar or Primordial Origin lies between the constellations of Cygnus and Cepheus, above the Great Square of Pegasus, and just north of Lacerta the Lizard, who stands as guardian to this primordial gate.

Lacerta the Lizard: The Akka guardian of Mu

Lacerta lies across the Polar Station as gate-keeper or guardian protecting the entry-way to the (upper fifth) realm of the gods--to the "Primordial Origin" of man, the Polar Origin of the Heptanomis--the galactic fiducial of the seven heavens, mansions, or stations of the polar precessional arc. The Polar Origin embodies the full integration of primordial and galactic forces--the true zero-point in the beginning of Earth's evolutionary ~25,920 year precessional cycle.

Lacerta lies north just over the great square of Pegasus and provides part of the Pegasus theme: requiring the need to refine self, the physical vehicle, to become masterful over primordial psychic forces. Such empowerment is only accomplished by embracing the primordial forces within self--recognizing and honoring their genetic origin.

In Abraham Merrit's The Moon Pool, the entry to the primary access point into the Motherland Mu, the inner-Earth entry-way to Muria, is through the basalt ruins of Nan Madol of the Micronesian island Pohnpei. Here are met the inner-Earth reptilians.

The Colonel Churchward reveals Pohnpei, Hawaii, Cook, and Easter Island, among other atolls, "standing today as sentinels to a silent grave" to be of the submerged continent Mu, the Motherland, which is most directly related in essence to our primordial origins. Lacerate embodies the pure unadulterated reptilian essence--primordial self.

Through the Moon Pool we find the benevolent loving intent and tenderness of, who Mr. Merrit calls, the "Silent Ones" who emanate "Holiness"--they who have full understanding, mastery, and experiential knowledge of primordial and elemental forces which mold consciousness itself into organic form. They have an awareness that precedes even telepathy, or for that matter, thought itself. From their gaze, in Mr. Merit's words "streamed a current of reassurance, of good will--nay, of intense spiritual strength. I saw that they were not fierce, not ruthless, nor inhuman, despite their strangeness; no they were kindly; in some unmistakable way, benign and sorrowful--so sorrowful!" Abraham Merrit continues, referring to the inner-Earth Lizard beings who are the allies for the Silent Ones as "...an evolution of highly intelligent beings from ancestral sources radically removed from those through which mankind ascended. These half-human highly developed batrachians they call the Akka...."

The Polynesian know their ancestral origins as the Mo'o, again as an inner-Earth being, but of a high-vibrational extraterrestrial origin, a pure spiritual reptilian essence. In Hawaii, the Mo'o are said to emerge from inner island lakes. The Chinese appropriately combined the stars of Lacerta with the early portion of Cygnus as their "Flying Serpent."

On Earth's surface, lizards can range in size from the tiny Geckos of a couple inches to the giant Monitors of Komodo Island (the Dragon Lizard) which can be ten feet in length. Iguanas of the American tropics (curiously called the "Chinese Dragon") can reach six feet in length. In Hawaii, the tiny Gecko's chirp is often taken as an affirmation of spiritual significance. The Gecko is one of the seven infraorders of Lacerta. Lacerta is a sub-order, along with Serpentis, of the order Squamata of the class Reptilia. The seven infraorders are one of many indicators of the variations and diversions of the primordial evolutionary stream of consciousness and subsequent diversion of human genetic expressions.

Our Life Force

Conjoining this location at 5° sidereal Pisces is Scheat, Beta Pegasus, of the Great Square of Pegasus. This star is the embodiment of our embryonic primordial fluid of life--water. Scheat is of the waters of the Earth, the Living Springs, the Lymph--our intercellular water that serves as a medium for cell-to-cell communication. Lymph means Flowing Spirit of the Living Water of Life. Scheat is of all bodily fluids, our life force, our Chi, including blood, semen and saliva, as well as for the type of fluids brought into the body. Scheat brings attention to the use of our primordial essence, of how we are using our creative life force and the lives we are creating with it--this being a significant part of this lunar month's theme.

Scheat can also bring to surface issues pertaining to body fluids, especially water and its relationship to the purification of the physical vehicle and the body's requirement for refined life force energies which are brought through waters molecular matrix into the cellular tissue of the body. The purity and movement of the lymph and blood is essential for this transference of energy to the cells which in turn produce the more refined subtle light energies that the genetic coding can receive. This is why throughout history peoples have sought the Living Water / Healing Springs, which flow of their own accord from the ground, indicating the water has been matured by mother Earth for human consumption.

Scheat also brings attention to issues regarding appropriate use of body fluids regarding either procreation or transmutation. The transference of bodily fluids passes on genetic strengths and weaknesses as well as psychophysiological patterns carried at the genetic level. The passing of blood, sexual fluids, and saliva allows transference of such patterns through morphogenetic resonance.

Sculpting our Lives

Conjoining Scheat and specifically our New Moon, from the southern heavens, is Alpha Sculptoris, and the Sculptor Galaxy NGC253, which lies quite close to the South Galactic Pole. Hence, this month's lunar theme brings attention to that which we are sculpting with our life force--not only in the microcosm of our individual lives, but also in the macrocosm of our evolutionary unfoldment as a collective of divine souls on Earth.

The Return

When the NCP is at the Primordial Origin, the two Holy Cross members (the galactic equatorial axis and the vernal axis) are lying upon one another. It is here that the incarnational experience of the soul (defined by the location of the Birthplace, the vernal point) was unified (at-one-ment / atonement / one tone / fundamental note) and at rest, at peace, with the soul’s incarnational mission. As Earth’s Polar Mount awakens and lifts itself from the care of the galactic plane, the cycle (chapel) of the Holy Cross begins to sound (harmonically move around) from this One Tone. At this time, the moving cross member (the vernal axis) separates from the fixed cross member as the vernal axis precesses in harmonic unfoldment to create the evolutionary "Cycle of the Holy Cross."

Now, in Earth's precessional cycle, the Godhead (NCP) as moved three quarters of the way (270°) around the ecliptic. As it crosses the Gate of Man (at 5° sidereal Gemini), it directs humanity to transcend the duality-based judgments made with bio-logistical mind. At this point in the cycle, Earth's pole begins to lean back into the light of the galactic plane. The impouring light itself dissolves our judgment-based bio-logistical process as we realize the unified truth of our Divine Origin.

At this time, when NCP arrives to the Gate of Man, the Birthplace (vernal point) arrives to 5° Pisces--the ecliptical longitude of the Primodial Origin, the location of the NCP at the beginning of the precessional cycle. This reveals the need to embrace our primordial genetic origins and all that we have been (our human experience) with unconditional acceptance (beyond mental judgment), from the experiential wisdom gained by our souls. This is not only occurring in our evolutionary Cycle of the Holy Cross, but it is also a significant part of this lunar month's theme.

Only now, as the NCP crosses the Gate of Man, at the second 270° erect cross, can souls' deliverance from mortality begin. But this deliverance must occur in and through the mortal blood-line or blood-stream, through the incarnate temporal path. That is, we must bring the experiential wisdom accumulated by our souls throughout the last 12,000-year temporal period of darkness into and through our corporeal bodies--the reestablishment of Christ (soul-level) consciousness on Earth. As we lean back toward the light of the galactic plane, we leave the last 12,000-year period of temporal separation. Here we must leave behind the tearing of the DNA and the weeping tears of mortal grief and re-illuminate (reintegrate) the DNA with soul-level (galactic) awareness. Here we begin to spiritualize matter. It is only now that we have the divine support to begin to live on Earth in soul-illumined awareness, from the truth of our souls, and claim our true divine heritage.

Expanding upon the Theme

The Crescent Moon of March 24 beautifully conjoins Venus in late sidereal Aries--seen in the western sky at sunset. Here lies inspiration to awaken from our naivete regarding our perpetuated entrapments. It is up to us to initiate a step forward, away from the past and live true to our hearts.

In fact we can see a rare grouping of several planets at this time--Mercury, Venus (Moon), Mars, Saturn, and Jupiter--all at once just at sunset. From west to east: Mercury lies below the Moon, Venus and Moon conjoin Botein of Aries, Mars lies near the Pleiades in Taurus, Saturn lies at the foot of the Twins, and Jupiter a bit higher in the sky lies in mid Leo.

Pluto also begins its retrograde period at this time. Pluto was discussed in more detail in the previous lunar month's theme.

External Stimulus to Action

Our First Quarter Moon of March 28 conjoins Saturn in mid-sidereal Gemini, conjoining the star Alhena. Sobering events may challenge us to get off the fence of indecision and take action. Alhena is the brand or mark, indicating the time is at hand.

Enthusiasm and Realization

A Virgo Full Moon on April 4-5 conjoins Corvus the Raven, the messenger bird and quasar 3C279, which lies on the backbone of the Virgin and exactly on the ecliptic. Here, nature's images provide the guidance we seek, asking us to honor the signs expressing through the natural world.

Environments: Mercury's New Theme

Mercury begins its retrograde period on April 6, which continues into the next lunar cycle. In the midst of its retrograde period and toward the end of the lunar cycle on April 16, when the Sun and Mercury conjoin, Mercury begins its new 116-day synodic cycle. This means that, from the sun's perspective, Mercury and Earth are at the same point in their orbits around the sun. To learn more about planetary synodic cycles please see the Synodic Cycle web page. From the sun's point of view, Mercury and Earth lie just into sidereal Libra but in the constellation of Virgo--just past Spica, the base chakra of the Virgin, under the skirt of the Virgin. Here, the Virgin's upper thighs set the theme of Mercury's new synodic cycle. Thus the next few-month Mercury theme is about supportive environments--creating a proper and harmonious environment that supports a transition, birth, or new beginning. We will move forward with this new Mercurial theme in the following lunar cycle when Mercury returns direct.

Inner Need to Change

Our Last Quarter Moon, which begins the transition quarter of the lunar cycle, occurs on April 11 and conjoins the asteroid Juno in the last few degrees of sidereal Sag. It lies under the auspices of Sulaphat of Lyra, the tortoise shell of the lyre, and Alpha Pavo, the Peacock--here regarding enduring beauty, harmony, and resonance in partnership.

Juno Psychophysiology

Juno is the asteroid of covenant relationships, soul colleagues, and true lovers. In the astrological chart, Juno indicates the nature of the issues and opportunities in significant relations of all sorts: those that are of a personal nature to those of political leaders and nations of the world. Mature Juno is diplomatic, tactful, cooperative, and mutually trusting. Mature Juno expresses with a sense of equality within self that provides the ability to draw true partners and those of equality into one's life. There is an acceptance of another's truth or opinion without need to challenge or debate. There is an ability to honor and support others in their own choices and decisions. Mature Juno expresses self-confidence in humbleness and without defense.

Focus to the Future

On the Balsamic Moon of April 15, we turn our attention from this lunar cycle in anticipation of the next to come. The Balsamic Moon is the time when we coalesce the experience of this lunar cycle into its seed essence, which will then sprout through the theme of the next lunar cycle to come. Our next New Moon occurs on April 19 in early sidereal Aries.
