A Saturn-Uranus geocentric conjunction took place on 26th June 1988 with Sun at 96 degree under an “Al Nilam-Orion” New Moon. Orion is called “the impious wanderer” ..with grand ideas (and as we shall see in this case possibly connected with a higher spiritual vision) that may go against the existing order..and yet Al Nilam ..the belt star of Orion is indicating a need to discover a middle ground for opposing forces (how appropriate for a Saturn-Uranus challenge!)

The reemergence of the feminine (Sedna) from her self-exile may require a crisis (Eris) …and this will happen when we “surrender egoic consciousness and align (ourselves) to divine order.” (Quaoar).

The Moon aligned with AE Auriga as you say , “ suggests (that) a renegade or outcast …and one who lives outside the beliefs and conventions of his group, a free and highly creative thinker moving on his own, even with his own agenda, typical to impious but highly creative and enterprising Orion” is possibly required to articulate the “new law”.


The current Saturn-Uranus opposition on 26th April 2010 under the “Acamar” New Moon had its Sun at 37 degrees. Acamar …a dam on the river of life…a breakthrough is required through a psycho-emotional blockade…once again it is almost as though Uranus with its new ideas must provide a breakthrough what is now become life threatening…Saturn.
(Since we are also going through the Last Quarter of the Saturn-Pluto synod its theme is relevant here. *Ref: Nick in LP below)

I believe that there is a theme unfolding here that can be understood if we connect the dots. The original conjunction was in Sagittarius so that it is all about manifesting a higher spiritual vision…and because the planets involved are Saturn and Uranus this is not going to happen without a fight between an old order and the new order.

If we connect the dots between the Sun Sabian symbols of the 1988 conjunction and the current opposition …a picture appears to emerge,

96 Game birds feathering their nest
A new wave of life is starting and a concrete –and no longer symbolical – preparation is made for it. 37 Woman of Samaria
The highest meets the lowest when this lowest is free from traditional bonds and open to love. The creative descends first to that which has become chaos. The Woman of Samaria in a way met the challenge of Izar -the synod star of Saturn-Pluto about which Nick says "Izar of Bootes reveals that any fear of intimacy will block the rewards such a leap can offer. However, this specific leap of faith can lead to a place of far greater beauty and harmony than we had known before"

The Saturn-Pluto Synodic Theme: This synod occurs in early sidereal Libra (2° 36') under the skirt of the Virgin and conjoins Izar of Bootes. Izar resides on the loins of Bootes, sometimes considered his loin-cloth.

The first half of sidereal Libra, which I dub "Under the Skirt of the Virgin," is about cover-ups, about the veiled or hidden truth regarding the intimate balance that is essential between the feminine and masculine principles. It also implies political-religious role in this obscuration of truth--whether deliberately created by the political-religious powers that be, or simply being inherent due to how religious belief structures have evolved over time. This also suggests a veiled cover-up or loss of awareness regarding the true nature of the birth and lineage of souls.


"The first few degrees of early sidereal Libra (within the upper thighs of the Virgin) is about intimate support, sex and sexuality; it is also about environment, specifically about environmental support that ensures the healthy evolution and freedom of souls.
