Post Mizar(and Denebola?) and the Calcutta fire
News Item

“A fire swept through two floors of a six-storied building on Park Street for over four hours on Tuesday afternoon, and police said that 20 people were feared killed and many injured.

Thousands watched with horror for hours as the fire engulfed the building. The plight of those trapped was made worse with the Fire Services floundering during the operation. It took the Fire Services three hours to bring in three hydraulic ladders and press those into service.”

The Aries Ingress chart, 20th March 2010 at 23:02 IST for Calcutta (now Kolkata) 88e24; 22n34 has Mizar on the MC within 2 degrees.

Elsbeth Ebertin and Nick agree on the general nature of Mizar.

“Mizar portends a Mars nature. The reputation of Mizar, if it is in maximal position in a mundane map, is that of being connected with fires of a catastrophic extent and mass calamities.”
[Fixed Stars and Their Interpretation, Elsbeth Ebertin, 1928, p.55.]

Nick in the Lunar Planner

“ Mizar, with averted alignments is also known for catastrophic fires or massacres.”

Smokescreen after the fire
Cops left chasing ownership shadow

Calcutta, March 26: Authorities investigating the fire at Stephen Court that has taken 30 lives so far have found themselves lost in a haze around the property’s ownership.

More than 72 hours have passed since the flames were put out in the building, but the cops are clueless about whom to prosecute.

Ambiguous ownership and the maze of leases and sub-leases, leaving no one in particular in charge, may have resulted in poor maintenance of the building.

The above quoted news item in today’s newspaper on the Calcutta fire helps us spot the role of Denebola, another star on the MC in the Aries Ingress chart (kindly added by Nick)

“Denebola is of a foul breeze, indicative of smoke screens and diversions. Denebola, along with earlier Zosma and Chort, create the hind of the lion. This area of the Leo is of those behind the scenes, of the political religious figures manipulating the affairs of the world.” Nick in Lunar Planner.

Another blaze at an army depot at Panagarh about 150 kms from Calcutta brought home the point that fiery Mizar was not yet done with Calcutta.

Blaze in army depot

Durgapur, March 26: An ammunition depot housing enough explosives to blow up a highrise went up in flames at the army base in Panagarh early this morning.

Villagers woken up by the sound of deafening explosions said they saw shooting streaks of light like fireworks on Diwali night. Many residents of Budbud and Mankar villages, about 150km from Calcutta, fled homes in fear.

An army spokesman said the fire broke out around 1.15am at the sixteenth shed of the depot that had small arms, ammunition and explosives.

Note:
The reputation of Mizar as a fiery star of explosions and catastrophes was borne out in modern times when the first atomic bomb was dropped on , 5th August 1945, 23:15:30 UT; Hiroshima;132e27; 34n23- an event that will remain forever seared in human memory. The Ascendant of the chart was 167 degree (tropical) Mizar rising
