Bright Green Comet Easy to See This Week
Bright Green Comet Easy to See This WeekAndrew Fazekas for National Geographic News Published June 15, 2010
A bright green comet is streaking across early morning skies this week, experts say. Comet McNaught C/2009 R1 has been steadily gaining brightness and will be most brilliant through June 16, during its closest approach to Earth at about 105 million miles (170 million kilometers) away.http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2010/06/100615-biggest-comet-mcnaught-sky-show-science-space/In early June 2010, C/2009 R1 was visible with binoculars, and by June 8 it was visible to the unaided eye in a dark sky with little light pollution. It is expected to grow brighter and become widely visible to the unaided eye by mid- or late-June, at which time it will appear between the constellations Auriga and Gemini. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C/2009_R1Comet McNaught visible in northeast sky just before dawnhttp://earthsky.org/astronomy-essentials/comet-mcnaught-visible-in-northeast-sky-just-before-dawn#In June 2010, Comet McNaught is found in the northeast sky shortly before dawn. But to see it, you have to be willing to get up dreadfully early to catch this binocular comet in the June predawn darkness.Perhaps we need to remind ourselves once again about the message of this comet as presented by Nick http://lunarplanner.com/HCpages/CometMcNaught.html“Comet McNaught's point of emergence from the Sting of the Scorpion and point of disappearance upon the Centaur's Altar reveals an interesting astrological theme--perhaps indicative of its message for this entire decade …”
“Ara is the Altar of the Centaur. On the low altar, the Centaur places Lupus the Beast (our lower-order personality-based patterns of self-importance, and associated emotional baggage) with conscious deliberation to be consumed in the Centaur's transmutational pyre. Venom from Lesath, the sting of the Scorpion--the often harsh but required lessons incurred while incarnate--dripping on the altar serves as the required transmutational elixir. Over the high altar lies Galactic Centre where reinstatement into our souls' destined fulfillment occurs. The sting (marking the end of Scorpio) precedes movement across the cusp of Scorpio into Sag where Galactic Center resides.
Lesath requires we unconditionally embrace the lessons of life without judgment, a prerequisite to being able to surrender them upon the altar for their / our transmutation. Ara demands we release of all guilt, grief, judgment, fear, anger, and pain associated with all incarnate experience--the self-important baggage we carry, and that we may hold even at soul level. Doing so allows us to claim the wisdom gained from soul's entire incarnational experience. If we do not, we continue to burn in the alchemical process. Only from this mature and humble act can we step into our greater evolutionary fulfillment.”
“We can only move into an awakened state of being by embracing the "Ara Initiation"--by choosing to place, with "conscious deliberation," the griefs and resentments incurred from the sting of life's experience upon the Centaur's pyre for their transmutation--a message dramatically brought to light by Comet McNaught. The power to change the world is within!”In the next few days the comet will be going past Capella which is an important star the Lunar Theme for the June 12, 2010 New Moon “Stimulus for Bold Individualistic Action”“Capella, Alpha Auriga. Capella is the messenger of light and the driver of the chariot. Capella can illuminate a situation and bring guidance from an un-biased spiritual perspective that can help to break a stronghold that might otherwise drag on endlessly. ..Capella inspires courage, movement and a positive sense of adventure for achievement. Capella acts as a welcomed beacon of light that embraces and illuminates the paradox of duality and side-taking.”Will Capella provide the necessary courage “to place, with "conscious deliberation," the griefs and resentments incurred from the sting of life's experiences upon the Centaur's pyre for their transmutation.”?
