WHAT IS
TRULY NURTURING

Ceres Retrograde
Ceres begins its retrograde cycle on the Last Quarter Moon of this Lunar
Cycle, on May 15. It will continue its retrograde until Aug 28. The last
Quarter Moon is a time of realizing an Inner Need to Initiate Change. In
this Lunar Cycle, this need to change is in regard to that which is truly
nurturing in our lives.
Ceres reveals how we nurture and how we are nurtured. Ceres can also bring
up abandonment and rejection issues, as well as feelings of being betrayed.
Ceres is of concern and caring for others, and for the Earth and the land.
Ceres is associated with the womb and stomach. Ceres embodies agricultural
and mothering qualities, and reveals our ability to live in universal flow--giving
and receiving nourishment as one continuos flow of energy through self.
Ceres asks for acknowledgment of our inner needs, to have self love and
self worth, and to express our love in appreciation for others and for
our environment.
When debilitated, this quality of self can expresses as low self esteem,
and as feelings of unworthiness. This is what underlies and creates our
experience of abandonment, rejection and betrayal--the inability to receive
and give love.
Throughout this retrograde period we reassess that which is truly nourishing to ourselves, and we will find opportunity to look at how we hold away the very love and abundance we want in our lives, at times even validating why we can not have the love we truly want. Our experience of love and abundance is a direct reflection of our self worth. Here we find opportunity to realize that our experience is a direct creation of the energy we hold and radiate from our Solar Plexus neurological centre. For a woman this is like a well in the womb; for a man, a pit in his stomach buried deep behind his navel.
When we can surrender to this, we also find the key of forgiveness. Forgiveness is our very human ability to give forth love--the only force that truly heals and nourishes.
In the May 22 Issue of the Lunar Planner we explore the nature of Ceres, how we create love and abundance in our lives or hold it away with the resonance we hold within self. We also explore the Ceres retrograde theme set by the stars of Lyra, Harp of the angels, and how this retrograde cycle provides opportunity to re-tune ourselves to Love.
